I woke up in the middle of the night because my head was hurting. I couldn’t decide if it was just one of those little headaches I tend to get at night (and go away when I get up in the morning), or the beginnings of a migraine. I went back to sleep and kept waking up with my head still hurting.
I was worried about taking one of my new Imitrex when it wasn’t a migraine – I only have 9 pills to get me through this month – but around 5:30 I got up and the pain had started to spread around to behind my eye, so I knew it definitely was turning into something, so I got up and took an Imitrex.
I tossed and turned for a while longer, worrying it wasn’t working, but finally fell asleep. I woke up later than usual (around 8:30) – and headache was completely gone.
So happy. I only hope it keeps working as well. Next time I may only take a half to try to conserve them.
There were side effects, though. And not what I was expecting, I was warned by both the nurse and the doctor my arms and legs might feel “tingley” – not the case for me. After reading up I’ve found a lot of people who have had the same side effects – stiffness, sore neck/shoulders, feeling heavy limbed and slightly lightheaded (though, for me it was more of a “disconnect” than lightheadedness.)
The heavy limb and lightheadness both faded after about 2 hours. The stiffness was completely gone by lunch.
I will GLADLY take those things over having a migraine. Holy cow. I could dance I’m so happy it works.
So anyway, onto more important things. the ruffle monster:
After making 2 more strips after I took this pic, I think I’ve finally got enough. I’m trying to work the hoopskirt out from underneath it right now to make sure it looks right.
Tomorrow I’m going to construct my cage for my Gaga skirt – and hopefully put together the bodysuit (got it cut out). I also need to grab a little more chiffon, yellow spandex, a cheap bra and blonde wefts this weekend – once I get the last of the chiffon I can dye all this stuff – hoping to do that saturday, have them dry by sunday and start attaching.
I also just came across a little goldmine of stuff in the garage – a box of craft stuff I’d forgotten about, find some nice wire, plastic tubing, and fishing line. What can I do with these things? Plenty!
Also, this morning I changed my facebook to be a little more private. With the new page I think most people would prefer to just “like” that – though anyone who isn’t blatantly a weirdo is still welcome to send me a friends request on my “Kell Kelldar” account (gosh I wish I could come up with a better name on there.)
