Snow White updates, SW Family Fun Day Pics

I’ve been working on my Snow White costume for next weekend… it’s coming along. I’ve got no decent pics to show of it, just a few iphone pics –

It’s hard to tell but I decided to take the center piece of piping out.
I’m hoping to finish the bodice today, and get started on the sleeves.

Last weekend we did a Star Wars Family Fun day at my fav local bookstore, Davis-Kidd. We ended up only having 3 of us there, but we had Chase as Vader, me as Leia and Gooshy in his Stormtrooper, so that’s a pretty good 3 to have. The kids were freaking out, it was fun, busy 2 hours.

And while we were at Davis-Kidd last week, we found out about another event they were having the next weekend (last night). They were having a “Graveyard party” with part of the night’s sales going to Elmwood Cemetary. They had people in costume there telling stories about people buried in the cemetary, with games whatnot. They had invited people to come dressed as their “fav dead historical figure!” Well I figured, it’s a chance to wear Anne Boleyn again and have an excuse to go buy a book LOL
I told Ash about it, and she decided to dress up as Teddy Roosevelt. We put her costume together in under a week and it was pretty good! She looked hilarious, I can’t wait to get the pics.

We ended up being the only people who dressed up for it, outside of a little girl dressed as Cleopatra. I think they were happy to see some people come in costume for it, and it was a lot of fun. We got some funny pictures and just had a good time. I hope to have the pics up on flickr tonight or tomorrow.

Next weekend for Halloween I’m being abandoned by my husband 🙁 He’s got a photoshoot in Nashville, so I’m staying home. I was originally going to go with him and we were going to do some halloween stuff that Saturday… the zoo event we like to do, maybe go downtown… but that was if his photoshoot was on sunday. Well it’s on saturday. Lame! So I decided to stay home (plus, found out nobody is doing the zoo event halloween evening anyway. blah.) and go to Trunk or Treat with my friends… then Ash and I are going to come back to my place, hand out candy to any kids who show up, and watch movies.
I told Chase he has to leave MY camera here that weekend so I can actually have some photos that aren’t just from my iphone 😛
