Belle updates and Halloween plans

The blue dress is finished, except ironing. Got it all taken up, hemmed, and the sleeves fixed. The white shirt still needs the cuffs on the sleeves and the collar. Other than that, it's finished. I'm regretting my fabric choice on the shirt, though. Already! Geez. So, the upcoming Halloween-related events: Friday - leave for Nashville Saturday - Nashville Comic/Horror Fest. I'll be going in blue Belle (since it'll ...

Halloween silliness and Wonder Woman pics

The annual Halloween emails/messages have begun. So far hit up: Belle (would i be willing to commission one for halloween), Stitch (how u make that mask i wanna make 1), She-Ra (been looking everywhere, would you be willing to sell yours?) and oddly enough Marion (do you rent your costumes, because I need a Marion costume...) I think I'll keep track of them this year and record them all - ...

Upcoming Schedule

I thought I'd mention my upcoming costuming schedule. October 20-21 is the Nashville Comic/Horror Fest. They call it Horror Fest still, and I don't know why - there really is nothing "horror" about it. It's basically a comic show at the fairgrounds, with a few local artists, and last year - Thong Girl! Saturday night once it closes down, we all go out to the Nashville Zoo and work ...

Halloween 2006 plans!

I'm in Nashville every weekend for the rest of the month! This weekend, Chase won tickets to the Orange County Chopper show up there, so we'll be up there at that. I'm hoping to go see Science of Sleep this weekend, too. The next weekend is an event for the Humane Society in Shelbyville. I've been trying to think of something other than Leia to wear, but realistically none of ...

My babiessss. Plus Horrorfest and Halloween 2005 Pics

And now you guys may have seen me mention that I got the dogs' portraits done? LOL, feel free to make fun of me for being the sort of person who gets professionals pictures of their dogs, but I LOVE these!! I am so psyched we did this. Those are just my favourites, we got around 60 pics all together of both of them (none together though, that would have been ...

Ceremonial Leia

So I didn't get my Halloween costume done, but I did throw together a last minute Leia Ceremonial costume - > I'm going to be redoing it next year, with a better necklace, the proper length (due to me walking around too much for what I made it for, I made it ankle length), and adjust the fit in the neck area... and with a better fabric! I don't like ...

when i had hitler screaming in my ear

I just had my first basketball practice in 10 years. Oh my god I hurt. It's been a long ass day, and now I have Hitler screaming German in my ear (thanks, history channel!) I'm going to bed now. I'm tired of all this. Oh, by the way, my Halloween pics are up - I'll be making a lj post about it soon but for now, for anybody who actually sees ...

when i didnt have anything to do for halloween

This has been a weird week, not really because sucky things have happened, but mostly because I've been in a weird frame of mind. But anyway, Cath and I were talking about how much Halloween has changed just since we were kids. When we were kids, we were allowed to roam the neighborhood by ourselves. We set out when it started getting dark and usually didn't return until around 9-10 ...
