Sana Kurata – Kodocha
Made for A-Kon 2003
Other Appearances: MTAC 2004

I loved Kodocha back then, so I wanted to put together a Sana costume – I settled on doing this one outfit from later in the series, where she has “SANA” written on her shirt – that would make it a little more apparent that it was a costume and not just weird clothes!

I bought the shirts at Goodwill, cropped them and sewed them together – added the yellow block (made out of scrap Nanami fabric) to the front and wrote “SANA” in black fabric paint. Made the skirt out of a stretch knit with an elastic waist, it’s just a tube. The Babbit pin I made out of craft foam, he’s my fav part of the costume! I glued a pin back to the back of it. I just wore some shoes I had, and my Yuffie socks, since it looked like she was just wearing plain brown shoes and white socks in the screencaps. And of course just used my own hair.

So there’s not a lot to this costume, but it was a fun little comfy downtime costume to wear at a couple of cons. I really need to clean it up and get some white backdrop pics one day just for cataloguing purposes.
