Purple Elvish Cape
December 2004

Mom gave me this purple cotton velvet for Christmas in 2003. I struggled with what to use it for – I thought about doing Arwen’s “Hope” dress with it, but there wasn’t quite enough material. Finally I ended up making a new cape – this one has arm holes, which makes it easier to keep on over costumes when it’s cold out.

I switch back and forth between this cape and the other Elvish Cape for when I have to wear costumes outside during the winter. They’re both pretty cozy.
