The first con Ash went to with me was MTAC 2001, and we wanted to do Milly and Meryl from Trigun, because that was our anime obsession at the moment. I’d been keeping my eye out on ebay for a khaki trenchcoat, but so far everything I’d found was too expensive.

Then one day, while helping mom clean stuff out of the attic, we came across an old bag of clothes and inside was a khaki trenchcoat! Mom said I could have it. I added the green shawl around the shoulders, made out of cotton. I also couldn’t find a plain red tie for some reason, so I made that out of cotton, too. (Though later pics have a mark 2 version that I made for Rally Vincent not long after this. It’s slightly better than this one! But to this day I’m still flabbergasted that I could not find a plain red tie anywhere at the mall, ebay, etc…)

Borrowed some suspenders, had the pants (my Quistis pants) and shirt (just a generic white button up) – and Milly and Meryl were ready for MTAC!

I think I actually still have this costume. At least, I still have the trenchcoat, I think. And I actually do still have the pants, I thought I got rid of them ages ago but I came across them cleaning some stuff out of my parents’ attic. I know they don’t anymore though LOL. But I do need to cobble this back together for a white backdrop shoot one day.
