The first con Ash went to with me was MTAC 2001, and we wanted to do Milly and Meryl from Trigun. I’d been keeping my eye out on ebay for a khaki trenchcoat, but so far everything I’d found was too expensive.

Then one day, while helping mom clean stuff out of the attic, we came across an old bag of clothes and inside was a khaki trenchcoat! Mom said I could have it. I added the green shawl around the shoulders, made out of cotton. I also couldn’t find a plain red tie for some reason, so I made that out of cotton, too. (Though later pics have a mark 2 version which was made out of red knit.)

Borrowed some suspenders, had the pants and shirt – and Milly and Meryl were ready for MTAC!

I think I actually still have this costume. At least, I still have the trenchcoat, I think. I can’t say that
