So this costume is actually not mine. It’s Ash’s Alucard costume. We put it together for her to wear to A-Kon in 2003, to go with my Integra. It’s built almost entirely out of goodwill finds – the red trenchcoat and red hat were both very lucky finds!! The sunglasses we bought online and I made the satin tie out of leftover fabric. We both absolutely melted in these costumes at A-Kon 2003 – love wearing trenchcoats and full 3 pieces suits in Dallas in June with a hotel that barely had working A/C!

Despite that we decided to bring them to Anime Expo 2003 also. Before that con, I realized I had this pin-stripe vest and pants in my closet. I asked Ash if I could borrow parts of her Alucard, she said sure. So Thursday night, before the con actually started, I wore my own little version of “Alucard” – with the vest and pants, shoes out of my closet, a wig for a costume I never did, and Ash’s accessories.

It was fun to run around in.
