Stormtrooper – Star Wars

Armor:
There’s really not a lot to say about this. I bought the kit, and, between my local 501st garrison and my husband, got the kit cut down to fit me over a few prop parties. We had to keep going in and trimming it down more as I wore it because we kept finding new places that would “bite” me each time!

In 2011 I used the thermal detonator off my belt for my Valkyrie costume and my husband used my back plate for a clonetrooper costume around the same time. So unfortunately this has not been wearable in quite sometime. I keep trying to find replacements but in some cases it’s almost as much as what I paid for this kit originally!! Ugh. If anybody has a hook up, LMK.

Helmet:

The helmet that came with the kit was way too big for me – it would have made me look like a bobblehead, so I bought a new, smaller helmet. It’s really nice! It’s an RT-Mod, I believe.

Accessories:

The bodysuit I already had (from Dark Phoenix), and the boots I bought at a local costume store. Same with the gloves. And the gun I already had. At Comic Con I wore my Leia buns under the helmet, and also wore it that way at Dragoncon 🙂

History:

I wore this a lot in 2006, and only sporadically since. It’s easier to throw Leia on, honestly. I’d love to get it wearable again though, get it shot on the white backdrop, wear it to a few events and then send it to a new home.
