Ahsoka – Star Wars: Clone Wars
Made for: 501st Event 2008
Background: My husband and I ended up deciding it would be fun to put this together for a big event our garrison was doing.

Patterns Used:
None
Headpiece:
My husband made my headpiece, starting with a wire form, covered in model magic, and then coated with caulk. Then it was painted! That took the bulk of the work. I made the beaded headdress piece.
Clothes:
The top, gloves and skirt were made out of faux wine-coloured suede I got locally. The top is boned and lined to help it stay up, and it laces on the side. I added a flap that closes over the lacing to hide it. The skirt is also lined, with a waistband and zips up the side. I also made the basic gloves out of the suede.
Accessories:
The belt was bought, and Chase made the belt buckle and box, and made the leather piece for the front. The boot tops and gauntlets were made of foam, covered in leather. I’m not 100% happy with the look of the leather, but we ran out of time to order anything so we had to make-do with what we could find locally. I do like how they turned out, though, they are really comfortable! Chase made the little buckles for both. The tights I bought, and we speckled them with grey paint – I really love how they look.
Body Paint:
Ben Nye Magic Cake Aqua Paints, and white and black eyeliner for the face markings. I also had to use a bald cap for my forehead.
History: I wore this twice – it just takes to long to get painted up! But after a couple of wearings a photoshoot, I sold it to a new home š
