Donna Noble – Doctor Who (Silence in the Library)

Background: I bought the shrug ages ago on the Doctor Who costume community, and it sat around until this year when I finally started looking for the rest of the costume.

Shrug:
As I said, I bought the shrug for another costumer. I dyed it slightly darker, though I should have gone another shade or two darker again and never did.
Top:
I ended up making the shirt – I bought the fabric (a thin jersey knit) online and used a pattern, although the pattern wasn’t as close as I would have liked and I had to make several changes, including altering the neckline and the gathered shoulder straps.
Jeans/Boots:
The jeans are my Journey’s End Donna jeans, and the boots I had.
Jewelry:
The necklace & bracelets I made. I bought the large purple stone for the necklace on ebay, and the rest at local craft stores. They weren’t quite finished in the early test photos I did of this costume; though in the later photos I consider them done (even though there’s not much of a change, haha.) I made half of the bracelets and bought half (after finding something very close while out shopping!)
History:
I’ve worn this a lot since finishing it – it’s really just street clothes, so it’s comfortable and not as hot as Journey’s End Donna. But, it IS just street clothes so I feel like 80% of my times wearing it, nobody realizes I’m in costume LOL.
