Patterns Used:
None

Jacket:

The jacket I lucked into finding, it was a used boys’ tuxedo jacket that fit pretty darn good! I just took it up in the back seams so it would be more fitted.

Vest:

I already had the vest; I just took it up until it fit snugly over the corset I planned to wear under it, and I also relined it and adding some spiral steel boning for structure so it wouldn’t ride up.

Shirt/Bottoms:

The shirt I also already had. I bought a pair of black swimsuit bottoms, and sewed the edge of the shirt to it to make it all one piece. I didn’t LOVE this idea in the end – it wasn’t the most comfortable thing in the world. While I liked not having my shirt ride up, I think everything would have stayed in place just fine under the corset it wouldn’t have been so uncomfortable.

Accessories:

I bought a cheapie costume top hat off ebay, but it was way too small and silly looking. I ended up renting a nice one from our local costume store for DragonCon, and later my husband bought one for me for a Christmas present (I need to find another use for it). The wig was bought on ebay, and I added some extensions to it since it was shorter than I expected. Gloves I had. The shoes I bought locally.

History:

I sold most of this costume several years ago so it is permanently retired!
