Black Canary – DC Comics

Made for: Dragoncon 2008

Background: I made this to match my husband’s Green Arrow costume!

Leotard:
I bought the suit from a dancewear site, and I added the yellow zipper pull.

Boots/Gloves:
The gloves were bought locally and the boots were from ebay, and Chase cut leather strips out, dyed them yellow, and we glued them to the top of the gloves and front of the boots.

Accessories:
The fishnets I bought online, as well as the wig.

History: It’s an incredibly comfortable costume, a nice change of pace from EVERYTHING else I took to Dragoncon 2008! I got a different wig after Dragoncon 2008 – it’s the lighter blonde one you see in most of my pictures. I’ve worn this a ton because it’s so easy to wear – despite it’s simplicity it became one of my favourite costumes, and my go-to “comfy” costume for several years.
