Patterns Used:
Butterick 6409
Dress:
I used a pattern for the dress, and a lavender matte satin. It ended up being slightly too small. I had to take the zipper out and put in a longer one, but at least I could get into it with the longer zipper. I added the purple ribbons to the front, and the trim on the top was a nice pearl trim I found locally.
Accessories:
I originally decided to do this costume as a reason to reuse my Urd wig from the year before – then realized that wig wouldn’t work (had no bangs), so bought a brand new wig on ebay. It was just an excuse, anyway! The symbol on my forehead I painted on with a stencil (made by my dad)
History:
I only wore this at one event, though it’s gone with me to at least two or three more. I had wanted to wear it while getting Peter Beagle to sign my copy of the book, at several different, later conventions – but every time I never bothered to put it on and go find him. One day I do need to do a white backdrop shoot (if I can get myself into the dress ever again) – but for now I do still love my forest shots!!

Please note that none of these costumes are for sale! This is my personal portfolio.
