This was a class project where we needed to illustrate scientists, doctors and religious scholars working together to reach God. Decided to do a play on the classic Sistine Chapel motif.
Ok, so this was done last year, but it got put this year. This was part of my final exam for Art History II - we were each assigned a different art style that we had studied, and we could pick any picture out of our text and render it in that style. Had to illustrate the story Rappaccini's Daughter for school. It was a little rushed (as most school projects are). I have some more thoughts on it I'll post later. In 2016 I dug up the original linework:
*sigh* I didn't get to work on it as much as I wanted. It was so rushed. From 7 to 9 last night I was up at RAT taking pictures of the cast to use as references (it was hard getting some of them off the stage long enough). From 9 to 12 I was drawing/inking the thing (the original had to be scanned in 4 pieces, so it's pretty big). From midnight to 7 ...
