As if I didn't have enough to do, I decided it would be fun to make a little poster of all of my dragoncon 2007 costumes. Here's some of the separate pieces, and the finished thing all together.
So, yeah, I got talked into doing another poster for this semester's play. I really wasn't planning to, but Rach called thursday last week and asked if I would. That gave me a week. I kinda freaked out, I just knew it was going to be pushing it, I'd have to stay up all night the night before, etc. Well, I finished it last night, at 11pm. I never stayed ...
I've done a couple of these auction winners for the school my mom teaches at... this time around the winner chose Kit Fisto. I don't just love it and the best photo I could get of it was laying it on the kitchen floor and standing on a chair over it. Bleh.
progress on a self portrait as Mara Jade
This is the version with no text, outside of the title -- the print version has the school name, dates, etc. Spring 2006 poster - if you'll notice there was no Fall 2005 poster, due to me being too busy last semester to do one!! I straightened up and managed to get one out for this semester though. I'm not particularly happy with it - I like most of the artwork, but ...
I'm off to Nashville again this weekend. I swear that's all I've been doing lately besides going to work and stuff. My life has become so very uninteresting. One of these days I'll get my scanner hooked back up. The only thing I've got on my comp right now that I can show is this... Completely totally NOT anywhere near done as you can tell. I've been dragging my feet ...
I'm at my other aunt's office right now, because my coworker called and said not to come in to work yet - THE BOARD is there. Eek. It wouldn't have been a problem really - but, you see, I'm in full Princess Leia get up today. I doubt the State Board would find that funny. I'm in Leia today because the little boy who won my auction at mom's school ...
I did this as a gift to someone, just because I wanted to do a Luke/Vader picture anyway so that worked out! It was kind of rushed because I ended up only have 2 days today, but it's ok. I'm pleased with how Vader came out... not so much with Luke. He's ok but his upper lip is too puffy looking.
This was for the yearly auction at my mom's school (previously did two LOTR coloured pencil pieces). This year I didn't have time to get one done in time for the actual auction, so I did a "You-Pick-It" sort of thing. The winner (a 3rd grader) picked Darth Maul. I like how his face turned out, don't like the saber! It's bendy!
