Next project: yellow chest

Sorry I've been MIA... real life happened but I doubt the story is anyone's interest so I won't bore you with it. My next project for my office is this piece of furniture: It was not quite as dirty as the other piece, and still in very good shape, just one piece of a drawer had come off. Once I got it to my house and looked it over, I ...

Painting my wardrobe

We had two date nights and lots of painting this past weekend. Friday we saw Wreck-it Ralph, and Saturday we saw Skyfall. Both really good! Saturday morning I got up and painted myself orange for Ahsoka, and we headed to Memphis Comic and Fantasy Con. We had a really great time though we didn't take any pics; we did come home and do a photoshoot of Ahsoka so I've finally ...

Housework, and a Wardrobe

This weekend was spent cleaning the garage, something that has been much-needed for a while. Saturday we pulled everything into the driveway to start organizing it. It was hilarious to watch people drive by reaaaaal slow, thinking it was a garage sale LOL We built a new shelf for all of our bins! We got it mostly done on saturday, but it suddenly started to rain... so we had to ...

Office Space

So this morning, laying in bed, 5:30 AM, I had a brainstorm about my sewing room. It's cluttered. It's a mess. I have no space. It's been a disaster area since Dragoncon - I attempted to unpack in there, got halfway through and ended up with stuff strewn everywhere. On top of going through to find stuff to sell, it's a mess. Beyond the mess, it's not really well organized. I ...

Cleaning my office

Chase helped me tackle the closet in my office yesterday. While I've cleaned and reorganized my office in the past few months, the closet I haven't messed with since before dragoncon last year. I have 11 bins shoved in there, and 5 of them just had various scraps of random stuff in them. Chase helped me pull all the bins out and go through them and fold things I wanted to keep. ...

Belle Updates, Laundry Room, etc

I haven't had anything to work on recently so I've been working on Belle again. I got the apron made and the sleeves done. All that's left now is attaching the collar. I've also got to figure out a hairbow, since I threw away the scraps of the blue material when we moved from the apartment. But - who knows, I may have it done by this weekend. Going fabric ...

I would like to put in a complaint…

...that weekends go by way too quickly. So anyway. Got a bit done this weekend. Got the laundry room nearly put back together. It looks nice. Very happy. I'll post a pic soon. Finished up my Donna top, and nearly got Romana finished except I ran out of bobbin when I had about 5 inches left to go hemming it. I was too lazy to reload it. I got my Donna ...

Romana + house work

The house is still a disaster thanks to us painting the laundry room, but it's getting there. I forgot to take a before-photo of the laundry room before we took everything out, and before we stacked the washer and dryer. But here it is pre-painting: Only room in the house we've never done anything to - that floor tile is what was originally in our kitchen. The room is tiny, ...

House work: Guest Bath

Working on the house again! I repainted the hall bathroom this past weekend. Third time since we've moved in. Here's a quick history of the hall bathroom! When we moved in - it had wallpaper, which we took down. First I painted it green, because green is my fav colour and this was the one room we could agree on being green. But I was really unhappy with that green. ...

Panorama of my Sewing Room

Cleaned up my office last night since I had bridesmaids coming over to try on their dresses I had altered. It's definitely grown more cluttered since I started out with one bookshelf and a desk! I just have too much stuff and nowhere else to put it (*). (*) - I really need to clean stuff out and get rid of some stuff. I've got so much fabric, and things like shoes ...
