I didn’t realize I hadn’t posted this week…

I usually post Monday and apparently I didn't since I posted on Friday last week. So I guess that trend is continuing. I have a lot of random stuff to talk about so I'm going to break this into sections. Costume Stuff I have no costume stuff to talk about... yet. Taking a small break after finishing Tink and Peter Pan. Speaking of which, Tink and Peter video breakdown is ...

An update & an art dump

First up I FINALLY got the Tinkerbell portfolio page put up -- it's here! Only took me all week! Beyond that I have nothing to talk about in terms of costumes. I got my sewing room cleaned up. Packed up some stuff in there that wasn't necessary - IE, in my cabinet I have all my music CDS on the top shelf, that just collect dust. So I packed those ...

its the update

I have a bunch of stuff to post. Buckle in! First loooook what came in the mail last week! I'm finally gonna retire my old Hermione. Been wanting to for a few years now! I bought Luna's wand back in 2015 intending to start on a Luna costume and just never have... but now I have a sweater and a patch... I'll probably start collecting more stuff for it later this ...

My fingertips are burnt off

Everytime I have a lot of hand-sewing to do, my fingertips get so sore they feel like they are burnt. That's how they feel today. So yeah that's mostly what I did this weekend. Hand-sewing and beading on Tink. Didn't use my sewing machine once because everything left had to be done by hand. Did a whole lot more beading. Hand-sewed down the rest of the mesh along the waist. ...

Peter Pan Pants Pattern

I hope nobody finds this post by googling "Peter Pan Pants Pattern" because I'm not actually talking about Peter Pan's pants pattern. It's just something Kevin and I kept saying last weekend as a tongue twister LOL So I've spent the bulk of this week focusing on finishing up Peter Pan. Tuesday I was all like "I'm going to finish ALL of it tonight!" and then that didn't happen, so ...

Birthday Blog: Thank You!

So I know that my site and blog have changed a lot over 20 years. From fanart, SunDowner and screaming about college in 3 posts a day, to 2 years worth of online quiz results, to talking about nothing but costumes and housework. (Seriously you guys have no idea how many quiz result posts from 2007-2009 I deleted when I ported my blogger posts over.) My blog and website are mostly just here ...

Birthday Blog: My Fav Art of 2011-2017

So now we are entering the "modern" era of my artwork. And I've actually been producing quite a bit more the past few years than I did in 2005-2009... it just took a bit to get there. I produced absolutely no art whatsoever in 2014, only year for that to happen... February 28, 2011 - ART POST: DOCTOR WHO I doodled this for Chase for a valentine's Day card - the original was ...

Birthday Blog: My Fav Art of 2005-2010

So... yeah... my art output really dropped off through 2004 and then even worse into 2005. Let's see what I can even find to post. February 11, 2005 - ART POST: JAMES AND LILY (HARRY POTTER) This was the last year I did something for the HP Valentine's Project. April 18, 2005 - SUESSICAL POSTER This was one of my fav posters I did. And it went a lot faster because it was a quicker way ...

Birthday Blog: My Fav Art of 2002-2004

So we start 2002 off in a high note - I got my first wacom tablet for Christmas 2001!! No more mouse!! January 28, 2002 - GALADRIEL My first full piece done on the tablet - Galadriel! Of course Fellowship of the Ring had JUST come out so I was on a LOTR kick. February 1, 2002 - ART POST: GINNY OEKAKI (HARRY POTTER) So ok, this chat board program called an "oekaki board" started popping ...

Birthday Blog: My Fav Art of 2000-2001

So now we move onto my favourite art of 2000 and 2001 -- this post covers the smallest amount of time I'll be doing this week, because there was SO MUCH ART these two years. At this point I had 2 issues of SunDowner under my belt and finally felt like I was getting comfortable in my drawing style - and I was on the verge of getting into Harry Potter so these 2 ...
