Oh hi again! I haven't updated lately... not much to update with, really. Been working on fixing broken images on my blog - so far I've gotten everything fixed back through 2008. Besides that, I did some art.
1. Dress Progress! I got the underdress totally hemmed night before last. Last night I got the other sleeve put in, and started hemming the chiffon. Mom gave me the idea to do a very small, tight zig-zag along the edge. I tested it out on some scraps and liked it. I started at the very back where I had some excess, so I could trim it off if I didn't ...
More art stuff! Wow! Well a few weeks ago I was trolling around on ebay looking for Disney-themed Christmas Cards to buy. I came across an auction for a 1962 Walt Disney staff Christmas card (which is still on ebay right now if anyone has $55 to spare). I thought it was really cute and sent it to Chase saying, we should re-do this to be us on here and use it ...
Here's my next set of reworked 365 artwork. Alice: fixed eyes, dress and feet Wendy: fixed proportion issues, skirt hem, eyes Mary Poppins: pretty much a completely new image. everything was redone. Jessica Rabbit: hair colour and eyes Meg: eyes Esmerelda: eyes Giselle: eyes Charlotte: eyes Blue Fairy: fixed torso proportions, eyes and nose. Jane: fixed eyes and umbrella, and hair and hat. Still messing with more of them in between ...

Here's the first of the fixed versions: Snow White still looks a little awkward but I fixed some of the problem with her neck and eyes. Cinderella got a head-reposition, hair colour fix, etc. Aurora's dress colour got changed, her hair fixed, eyes and neck repositioned. Ariel's eyes got updated ...

Costume sketch for Winnie Sanderson - making for Catherine. Just a rough sketch to get the basic idea of the shape of the robes/dress.
So I was trying to do this project where I was drawing each of the costumes I'd done, so I could use them as the reference in each portfolio entry -- that way, I'd have a good full-length view of the costume I'd made for the viewer to compare. I actually got a few done before I abandoned the project I never used them. Here's a few that got drawn ...
In 2012 I did this little project where I was trying to draw the characters I've costumed as -- just quick little simple things I could use as the "reference image" on my costume site. I only got a few done before I decided I wasn't going to use a reference image at all on my site anymore LOL So these got abandoned. Some of them I like, some of them ...
