#0005 – The Queen’s Disguise
Based on Advance 7074 from 1954.
During this project I became really enamored with 50s casual wear – it’s all so cute! I know things like that aren’t as exciting as ball gowns, but I really enjoyed doing these more casual fits too. This was originally a one-piece overall suit with cropped pants – I kept the cropped pants but made it a 2 piece with a blouse underneath and a belt. I think this one would actually be really nice for wearing to the parks! (Your mileage may vary on wearing long sleeves, but I like it so long as it’s a lightweight fabric – keeps me from getting burnt!)
