Qui-Gon and Amidala updates

In the past week I had to make a few last minute, extremely cheap (they had a v. tight budget) costumes for the play I was involved: An “Acrobatman” shirt (blue shirt with a yellow triangle and a red “A” on the front ala Superman), 3 Devo hats, and an Elvis shirt (with attached belt so the 2 actors that wore it could change into it easily backstage).
The Elvis shirt I was pretty proud of for such a ghetto project – it read pretty well from stage. I didn’t get pics of it but I’m supposed to be getting it back, but we’ll see. The Devo hats were also pretty ghetto but fun. Also spent a lot of time fixing costumes, taking them up, and making random accessories.

Today I got fabric for my Padme EpI parade gown cloak. I got both ivory organza and ivory chiffon – I was originally going to get all organza, but some of the lower petals don’t drape like organza… so I got some chiffon too. We’ll see.

This was all of my Amidala fabric at the start, before dying or anything! Chiffon, Organza and Satin! Oh my!I ended up having to go back to buy more material for the cape several times. All in all between the lining, netting, and all the petals of organza and chiffon (doubled), the cape ended up eating up about 40 yards of material.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Also got great fabric for my dad’s Qui-Gon robe.

In January there’s a small local con called Shadowcon – I think I may go. I was going to go on saturday this year but got lazy and didn’t.
