This morning has been an absolute clusterfuck. Today was our day to book dining, so Chase and I were up at 4:30 and ready to go with my list. Nothing came up til 5, and then the only thing we were able to book was dinner for our first night. I could see the dates after that and times but it wouldn’t let book anything. “Unable to book at this time” – both on the app and the website. Kept trying until 6 with no luck, so right at 6 on the dot called the dining phone number. “Wait time is over 25 minutes” – ok. 2 Hours later finally got someone on the line. She said it didn’t make sense we couldn’t make reservations, she could see everything looked right. We’d called on Chase’s phone and he had to leave for an appointment, tried to transfer the call to my phone so I could just have them book everything on the phone – and the call dropped.
Seriously I screamed. Luna got hissy because I was being loud.
So now I’m sitting here on the phone waiting again. “Wait time is over 2 hours.” Still can’t book anything and I just want to cry.
So now I’ve been up since 4:30 AM with nothing to show for it except 1 dining reservation that wasn’t even a hard to get.
I’m about to cut a bitch.
To add insult to injury, I was so anxious over booking today that I slept horrible so Im currenty running on maybe 4 hours of sleep and raw anger.
Been on the second call for an hour now.
I also can’t get my photos today’s post to upload. WTF universe.
After a restart of my computer turns out the upload thing was just a computer problem. No such luck with the disney problem. Currently been on second call for hour and a half.
I actually have 2 calls going at once – the regular dining line on my phone and the group reservations line on my work phone. I went through the tree on the group reservations line and it probably just redirected me to the same dining line, but I figure it can’t hurt to have 2 going in case I get dropped again. At one point about 20 mins ago something cut it on the group res call and it sounded like super loud radio static with some mumbled talking in the background, then back to the usual hold spiel. Super weird.
While I’m waiting I guess I’ll talk about costume stuff.
I finished the basic white dress.
Hadn’t finished the neckline or sleeve hems here but happy with the fit.
With finished neckline – I finished up the sleeves Saturday but apparently didn’t take any photos.
I started on the shawl/wrap piece for this on Friday but I messed it up. Thankfully it’s cheap fabric so I just went and bought more this weekend, but haven’t cut it again. Meant to do it yesterday but yesterday I did approximately jackshit (TM TM TM) so I guess i’ll do it tonight. If I can get my heart rate down from all this disney stuff.
We got the downed tree and the huge pile of branches hauled off. It was expensive AF.
I said last week I was going to try on Utena Monday night, well I didn’t do that til Saturday. But here’s pics from the test run/test fit.
Just some iphone pics so I had something to add to the portfolio page. Dunno when I’m actually going to be wear this to get proper photos so I wanted something to be able to finish setting up the portfolio page with al the construction info before I forget it.
Couple of things I need to do – I need to recurl the face-framing curl on my right side (viewer’s left) – it’s hanging lower than the other one. Also need to finish sewing my snap tape on at the bottom – I didn’t finish it off because I wasn’t sure if I had it too long (I did, I cut one segment off when I first put it on). So just need to finish that off. And sew on my rose holder, and put a hook and eye on the skirt.
Overall very happy with her. Now to print my sword.
Saturday we had an event at the Pink Palace! they were showing Star Wars on the imax and invited us out to take pics with people.

This is why I don’t take many selfies. I always look like I’m looking somewhere other than the camera. Why??
Anyway, my swatch for the Marvel project arrived Friday!
I had to tweak the design a bit – some of my darks were too dark. But I’ve go the edited version reuploaded and ready to order.
So my plan for that is that I want another comfy 2 piece knit outfit like my Stitch outfit from last year:
I searched for a cute knit for weeks with nothing speaking to me. So I decided to make my own and I decided I wanted some more Marvel in my disney wardrobe. So that’s what the Marvel project was.
Excited to get my yardage — the Stitch set went together pretty easily so I think this one will too. I’m really hoping to be done with all of the “making” for the disney trip by the end of March and already into Dragoncon projects by April.
Well that’s kinda it so I think I’ll just leave my blog post open and keep updating while I wait on this call.

Woof what a morning. Finally got thru to someone around 2 hours 10 minutes but she was GREAT. She got everything booked for us with no issues except one and that one wasn’t dire so i’ll just keep checking back to see if I can find it on my own. She said it is something weird with our reservation so I need to email and find out what that is about, but the crisis is over for now. At least until thursday when I have to book the rest of the trip.
Edited to add: I was so annoyed at the disney booking malfunction this morning that I forgot to talk about the fact we booked our overnight hotel (the halfway point of our roadtrip there) yesterday. For I think like only the second time in my 20 years of being a marriott rewards member I got to use points to book a room. I had to buy a few more points ($50 worth) to do it, but for a room that would’ve been $150 out of pocket, the $50 of points was worth it.
