House work: Guest Bath

Working on the house again!
I repainted the hall bathroom this past weekend. Third time since we’ve moved in.
Here’s a quick history of the hall bathroom!
When we moved in – it had wallpaper, which we took down.

First I painted it green, because green is my fav colour and this was the one room we could agree on being green.

But I was really unhappy with that green. More on that later.

So I repainted it turquoise.

I still really love the turquoise colour. But, the reason I wasn’t happy with it, and also, I think, why I wasn’t happy with the green, is because EVERYTHING in that room is almond coloured. The trim, the counter, the tile, the toilet, the doors, and the tub. Placed against any colour it just looks dirty and yellow-ish and gross. (Not to mention the overly-yellow lighting in our house.)
So trying to get a colour on the wall and whatever shower curtain we have to look nice with that dirty almond colour is next to impossible.

So I decided to paint it grey. It’s a blue-ish grey called Metropolis. We’re going to paint the trim in there soon, and I want a new shower curtain, but for now it actually feels a bit less “all over the place” like before. So here’s the bathroom, before painting (after taking everything out), and after painting:

I need to put a new nail in the wall to move the owl painting down (I previously had a much larger Star Wars print there.)
