What a morning it has been! Craziness at work!
And what a week it has been! So much to talk about. I’m going to save my Disney trip report (wait, what?!) for another post. This post will be alllllll Christmas.
Sunday was kind of a lazy day. We sat around, I recovered from my marathon of an Orlando trip and finished wrapping presents. We went to see Mary Poppins Returns that evening and it was cute. That night Nana and Kristie had me open their present to me, because they didn’t want to lug it up to Jackson…
A pose-able museum quality display form!! They got it from Tom Spina’s store! I’m SO EXCITED to play dress up with this! I’m not going to put it together til we get moved in, just have to wait another week and some change…
Monday Christmas Eve day, we got up, drove to Jackson and to our family lunch. This year was different! The past few years we’ve reserved a room at a local buffet in Jackson, but they were closed Christmas Eve this year. So after lots of back and forth we decided to all go to cracker barrel. All 27 of us. It took about an hour, we had to get seated in waves, but they got us all in and fed.

Then back to Mema and Daddy Bob’s for presents – Mema and Daddy Bob had given everybody an air fryer! LOL Chase and I were excited because we’d been wanting one for a while.
One of the presents we gave Mema and Daddy Bob and Nana was some new photos. We went out about a month ago and retook some pics Nana had taken of us all at Overton Park, and we did new versions!
It was a lot of fun to do!
And my cousin David proposed to his girlfriend!!! AHHHH
After all that we loaded up the car and came home. Chase and I were going to cook tacos (for me) and pizza (for Chase) and open presents but my parents texted and asked if we wanted to go to the candlelight service at church, so we did… then afterwards they hadn’t had dinner yet either, so we all went to try to find somewhere still open at 8pm on Christmas Eve night… finally found a mexican place open LOL.
Then Chase and I got home and exchanged presents!
He got me THREE puzzles, 2 Disney ones and a Frank Lloyd Wright one. I’m SO excited to have a place to do puzzles again once we move.

Christmas morning we headed to my parents’ house for breakfast and presents.
Skye’s first Christmas!
Before breakfast my parents brought out one of their presents to me that they hadn’t finished yet…
It’s an ironing table made to fit over my ironing board! Mom didn’t have the right size batting so she hasn’t finished the top yet. This is going to make ironing SO MUCH easier and I’m so excited for it!!
Skye learned to open presents pretty fast:
I got a sloth ornament, a Star Wars crochet kit, a Rey ornament, a llame welcome mat!
Hipster animal plates, Donner Dinner Party game, Harry Potter ornament and cat kitchen towels! And the usual fruit in my stocking!
Then over to Kevin’s for lunch!
After way too much good food we opened presents. Tom and Susan got us a roomba!! We had really wanted one for the new house! It will be so helpful. Already named her Rosie because having a vacuuming robot is just so Jetsons.
Then Chase and I headed home and just lazed around for a while before going to bed, since we both had to work today. Yuck. But only a 3 day week and next week is only a 4 day week and next Thursday is possession day!! And next Saturday is moving day!! AHHHH
