when it was time for animal crackers

Finally went and got mom’s bday present today. I even wrapped it (in Star Wars paper!), but couldn’t find tags so I just wrote “Happy Birthday Mum” in a speech bubble above Qui-Gon Jinn’s head.

Also bought Carrie, because I’ve been desperate for a new book and Stephen King’s an easy read.
What else? There was something else I was going to talk about… hrm.

I have to go — well, I’m going to go up to RAT tonight and take pictures of the cast so I can get their play poster done BEFORE opening night this time. grar. It’ll be easier than past posters at least.

This’ll be my fourth time. The play is first weekend of May, I think. So I’m going to get it done hopefully this weekend. This time they’re doing something I’m really familiar with (Marx Brothers’ Animal Crackers). I knew what I was going to do the minute they told me what play they were doing. I’ve been told the play is slightly different from the movie, with some different supporting players, so I’ll need to find out who they are and how many they are before I start.

Anyway. I also have to do an illus for my writing class. We could either do the Yellow Wallpaper, Rappacinni’s Daughter or Phantom Palace. I knew this assignment was coming up so I kept that in mind as I read them. I’ve already decided to do Rappacinni’s Daughter, cause I want to draw a pretty girl in a garden with a creepy old man standing behind her šŸ™‚

I did an illus for writing class last semester, too, but I never scanned it… I did it like, 2 hours before it was due and didn’t get a chance. It was a crayon piece (of course), but I want to do a CG this time. I’ll be getting the crayon piece back at the end of this semester, so I’ll probably scan it then, even if it is a piece of crap!
