It’s my 20th anniversary of my first “serious” Princess Leia costume! Here’s a retrospective; it was hard to find pics from every year because at some point I was like, “I have enough pics of this we don’t need to take more” 😹

I often get asked “hey where’d you get X for t I often get asked “hey where’d you get X for that costume?” so I decided to start a new series where I break down where all of my materials and pieces came from. Starting off with the one I get the most frequent questions about, my most recent Padme lake gown from 2019. (I really want to do this with a super old costume, like my fabric came from Hancock fabrics, my grandma gave me that piece, the wig was from Cosworx, the armor was a garbage can… 😹)
For Halloween this year I made my two “little si For Halloween this year I made my two “little sisters” Skye and Walker their own Jedi costumes. These were tricky to fit without having them there to try on! I need to do a couple more adjustments but I think they turned out cute.

Tried to pick it up again in 2012 but only made things worse 😹 finally in the midst of 2020 I got it all out, took it all apart and finally finally finished it.

I can’t wait to get the rest of my Boushh costume fixed up to do a Photoshoot with this! It’s the Princess Leia costume I’ve worn least because I sold my original helmet only a year or so after finishing it! Also looking forward to setting up a cool little display around this - been wanting to install some shelving in a spot in our living room so this is a good kick in the pants to do that.

Probably not but that’s something I’ve wanted to do to this costume for yeaaars 😹 I think it’d be easier to just make a new bodice than alter this one that much !

When I get a new set of photos back from @chasingphotography I tend to just grab the ones i like best at first blush and upload those, and then sometimes I forget to ever go back and really comb through them! I’m glad I got bored enough to look through them last week and pull out a few more, I like this one.

I originally debuted Ozma at dragoncon 2004, and I thought it would be fun to bring her back for the 20th anniversary, since she’s always been one of my fav costumes. A few updates for her return - a new wig (the old one became my ponytail for a Wonder Woman costume in 2008), and an updated tiara now with a removable crown for easier packing!
