DragonCon Costume List

Costumes I’m (more than likely) bringing to Dragoncon:

Donna Unicorn & Wasp: 10% done. If I finish it enough to wear. I’m only focusing on the front panels right now. If I don’t get it done enough, I may throw together a Fires of Pompeii Donna instead.

Anne Boleyn: 98% done YAY

Peggy Carter: 95% done – finishing wig and belt soon

Johanna: 15% done. Gotta get cracking! But I have most of my supplies already, so that’s good. I should be able to dig in and get it finished.

SURPRISE costume: 0% done. I replaced my original Surprise Costume with this one when I realized I wasn’t going to get the first one done. This new one should take 2-3 days, really simple costume.

Megara: Just needs a few little tweaks – mostly fixing some of the pleats around the waist – and it’s ready to go.

Dr Forrester: Need to replace my glasses but that’s it.

Emma Frost: I did updates to her for last year and then didn’t wear it, so it’s ready to go for this year.

Belle: need to sew the appliques I tore off back on but otherwise she got cleaned up for Momocon so she’s good.

Wasp: Chase thought I should bring this back with the wings. Wig probably needs cleaned up but otherwise should be good.

Romana I: Without the cape. Part of the brooch came undone so I need to resew it back in place, but it’s good to go.

Donna Journey’s End: Getting my wig recut and recoloured, yay!

Will you post a schedule of when you are wearing what? I am so impressed by the number of costume changes you do during the day. This will be my first year changing costumes mid-day and it’s a little daunting to think about! Any tips?

I’m going to try to! I’ve gotten bad the past few years about just wearing whatever whenever! At the very least I’ll post up the definite things I know, like parade/Doctor Who photoshoot, etc.
It’s much easier if you’re in a host/close hotel! I change multiple times a day because it gives me time to cool off/rest my feet. Something that’s hot or just uncomfortable I can only do for 2-3 hours tops, so then I go change into a more comfortable costume (or, at least, uncomfortable in a DIFFERENT way LOL). I also don’t really do any panels or anything like that I have to plan around, so generally my days are wide open, which makes it much easier to go change whenever I want!
