So one day last week at work, none of the folks who normally accept our deliveries from UPS or Fedex were there yet when UPS started banging on the door. So I had to go do it, which I hate doing, but that’s another story.
The driver was friendly, he chatted about basketball and the weather while fishing our packages out of the various hiding places in his truck. One problem – his entire “walkway” in the middle of the truck was filled with packages. So, when one of our packages ended up being on the far-end of his truck, he had to climb over those packages to get to it.
Did I say climb? Oh, I meant, WALK.
Yep, the guy actually stepped on and walked over all of those boxes to get to the back of his truck. Once he found our package, he carried it back the same way he came – and the last box he stepped on – probably around a 16x16x16 brown box – he completely crushed one side of it.
oh, ups. thanks for reminding me never to personally use your services.
