Romana I dress!

So I pretty much finished my Romana I dress last night.

First, the MST3K shot because I watched Catalina Caper last night. Even though it’s kinda impossible to read.

Then, before I put the sleeves on:

My Romana dress is getting there.I've got the pleated sections attached and the dress is mostly finished, except for the sleeves, obviously.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

One sleeve on:

And mostly done:

Still needs a few tweaks and then I need to finish the cape. Hoping to be done with it by this weekend.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

I may need to take the sides up a bit. I like the way it fits right now but it is a tiny bit big in the waist and hips, and it would help with some of the pulling if it were pulled tight. I also may sewn down a few more of the pleats, and it needs another pressing after being man-handled on and off the dress-form. My pleats right around the lower waist/hip area are still a little wider than hers, so if I pull them a little tighter it might help with the fitting at the hips.

Tomorrow I’m going to see about finding something to use for the brooch-thingie on the front, and later this weekend pick up some more material for the cape and get as much of it knocked out as I can. I wanted the whole thing done by the end of May, so I’m not going to make it, but I’m going to be pretty close.
