Didn’t post last week! Monday ended up being really busy.
So let me try to remember everything from the last 2 weeks. This is why I try not to skip weeks LOL
Friday night 2 weeks ago at 1am Chase was having a pain in his midsection and ended up doing a teledoc appt and the teledoc told him to go to the ER. So we went and sat in the ER from 2AM to 7AM, and they found nothing. Said everything looks good. So that was fun.
Before we even took a nap got home and did the planned photoshoot:

Finally figured out how to do this thing on bluesky so now my username is kelldar.com, pretty cool
Also discovered that my domain registrar for one of my really old domains that I’ve just been sitting on since 2000 went under like 6 years ago and I can’t figure out WHERE my domain is now. It’s still under my name and somehow I’ve still been auto-paying the original host for it every year. I haven’t had the energy to figure that one out.

Realized I could put Indy’s old Santa hat on Mothman. I tried to find her sweater too but couldn’t. Next year I’ll get him a proper Santa outfit.
Thursday was Thanksgiving of course. It was a strange Thanksgiving without Daddy Bob there.
Came home and did shoot number…3? 4? for the year. We shot my 3 retro dresses (Star Wars, skeleton, haunted mansion) and also Pirate Ariel. I forgot to take mirror pics of everything but this LOL
Friday morning we got up at 5am to get in line at Target.
We secured the goods though. Also had to buy copies for Ash who was out of town.
Friday afternoon a nap we took Kevin to a matinee of Wicked.
It was really good. The costumes were amazing.
Then to dinner at kyuramen.
After two very busy days Saturday and Sunday we tried to do pretty much nothing.
Did laundry, I worked on cleaning up photoshoot pics and also a little bit of christmas present sewing.
Last night was my uncle Tom’s Celebration of Life. He did not want a funeral so it was basically a big party at his fav restaurant.

Seeing the pics made me realize I AM going to have to rehem the skirt. I lost weight between finishing this and wearing at dragoncon (I finished it like… April? May?), and now it sits lower on my waist than I originally had it, so too much fabric is pooling around the bottom. Something to worry with later.
As for T’Lyn…
I got a handful of photos I liked enough to upload, but I’m going to reshoot her. It’s funny the same thing happened with Seven of Nine last year – after we shot Seven and I saw the photos, I decided I needed to redo a few things and reshoot. In Seven’s case it was thinning and restyling the wig, and Chase printing new facial appliances for me. (And, also, not wearing the pants backwards LMAO). I was so much happier with the second round of pics.
For T’Lyn, my biggest beef is the wig. That’s actually wig #2, the first was so bad I tossed it (it had a weird point in the top of the wig cap that made it look like a conehead?) and I bought this one last minute. Both were from amazon and BOTH sucked, the second one just not as much as the first. It’s really thin. So Friday morning while in line at Target I went to see what Epic Cosplay Wigs had in stock and accidentally bought a wig. Yes, accidentally, I was just trying to see what shipping was and somehow checked out with my saved info. Oh well, I did want it and shipping was free, so yay. This one should be nice and thick and much easier to style than these shitty amazon wigs. I want her hair to look like Valeris, so trim the bangs, crimp the main section to get some body and then curl the ends so they tuck under. I may do the sideburns as separate pieces and sew them into the wig cap. We’ll see.
Also want to take up the collar. It’s too wide on me. Hopefully I can do that without messing up the binding. I dunno though. Have to get in there and see what my options are.
Also might get new ears? Or at least reconfigure these, I feel like they angle too far backwards instead of upright. Also thinking about getting eye tape to really get those snatched Vulcan eyebrows.
So anyway upcoming projects – finishing some Christmas sewing, I’ll have to show yall all that after Christmas. Then swinging into Disney stuff. The main thing I’m making is a jacket. I’d really like to try to make a little Padme picnic bodice to go with the dress I bought on clearance a couple of years ago but I dunno that I have time to do all that. We’ll see.
