i am thankful for short work weeks

Oh hi here I am back again with absolutely no Utena updates.
My red fabric is supposed to arrive today finally. Then I have to get my brain back up to speed on the project. I know it’s only been like 2 weeks I haven’t done anything on it but that’s long enough for me to forget where I was going with it.

Tuesday last week we went to see the Lion King!

First time back at a stage show since Kevin and I saw Aladdin February 2020. it was great.

i slowly started decorating for Christmas.

Got the twinkly tree out and running. Still need to get the other tree downstairs. That one is heavier for some reason tho.

Friday I picked up Kevin and we met Chase for pizza and a movie. We saw Eternals; it was ok. Kevin liked it.

And first time taking Kevin to movie since at least 2019. Crazy.

Ran to Target between dinner and the movie and I took a chance on one of those ornament blind boxes.

And I never have to buy another one. Score!

Saturday we did some yard work and ran some errands.

We met a friend at the wood-working store.

Sunday I spent the majority of the day banging out some costumes for a production of Shrek.

5 knight tunics and a sweatshirt-style top for Gingy.
The thumbnail of that photo looks like a picture of Quidditch gear.

This week is a short work week, thank goodness, I need some time away from work, more than just 2 days.

I have a day and a half of vacation time left and seriously thought about taking the “half” this week but decided to save it for Christmas.

So this long weekend I plan on:
-Finish decorating house for Christmas
-Work on Utena
-Work on my Christmas stocking
-PHOTOSHOOT! Planning to do all 4 new Dragoncon costumes – Padme, Wanda, Diane and Roxy. YAY It’s been a year since we did a backdrop shoot. I’m planning to just leave it set up and do a couple more costumes every weekend through December – I still need to do Arwen’s Hope dress, Eliza, my disneybound looks, Raddus Leia, Mothman, comfy Ariel… etc. We’ll see what I get to.
