Last night around 8pm I put the last touches on Bespin Leia. It is officially DONE.
There’s some stuff that’s not perfect. My chiffon ended up stretching during the embroidery especially on the two front panels, so the front hemmed edges want to be a little wavy. One side is better than the other. I may add weights to the hem still but it doesn’t HAVE to be done. Going to see what I can find that would work this weekend. I do still also need to get new extensions.
I put a new snap on the belt also… the snap tape snaps were just too small and delicate. I put a big giant “it’s going nowhere” 1in snap back there. Wish I’d had 2 but I only had 1 so that’s all it gets.
I should’ve turned my big light on to get rid of the yellow overtones from my overhead light but I did not. Oh well.
So then since I was done… I sewed new snaps onto Kevin’s Luke tunic. Then I was done. I didn’t know what else to do. So I started pulling out shirts for the trip. I pulled out a few Star Wars shirts for the trip – the 2 I made last year, my new “Rebel” shirt, Haunted Mansion mash-up, Poe, sleeveless grey and Southern Outpost to sleep in. Plus the dolman shrug I made.
Then I was like, oh wait I want BB8 too. So I went looking for that and then oh wait I want the matching Rey one also. And then oh my new hoodie too! And then oh the other sleeveless one also because it’ll be hot. Oh and I had to have my X-Wing dress too. And while digging for all this I found like 3-4 more I forgot about like Vader on Dumbo, that HAS to come. And my old C3 t-shirts too! And my Star Wars socks. I ended up packing enough Star Wars stuff for 2 weeks and not 4 days.
But y’know, at Disney I tend to change clothes at least once a day, so if you count 2 shirts for Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri, and one for Saturday night, and a couple to sleep in… then this isn’t that much and I have options. Even though I won’t wear Star Wars Wednesday, I’ll probably wear Harry Potter… (I packed my “Don’t Stop Believing” Hogwarts shirt and “Snitches be Crazy” shirt.)
Oh and I packed my Haunted Mansion shirt, and a plain dress. And I also need to pack regular Leia JUST IN CASE. Maybe I have too many shirts. I haven’t even packed shoes and my bag is already too full…
