I had Friday off so I worked solid Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Didn’t go anywhere. Just stopped to eat, sleep, bathe, find new thing to watch/listen to. The stupid weather being crazy made me have a migraine the ENTIRE TIME and it’s still on-going today. I’m ready to rip my head off. I’m so so so sick of embroidering. On Sunday every time Chase would come into the room I’d immediately start whining how tired I am of embroidering.
I didn’t colour-correct this, it’s got pieces of thread all over it, it’s still not pressed, but here it was as of last night.
Of the large spires, I have 7 of the entire shadow-stitching done. It take way longer than I expected and I hate doing it. I shouldn’t have left one entire element til the end, with everything else I’d skip around so I didn’t get tired of doing one thing. But now I’m stuck doing the one thing I didn’t feel like figuring out til the end. Anyway spire #8 is a little more than halfway done, so tonight I’ll finish that and get started on Spires 9 and 10 (the last 2). Then I just have to do the shadow-stitching in the little top of the spires (which isn’t a lot) and one place I missed some yellow things in between the small flowers at the top of panel 4, and it will finally be over.
As I’ve said before still have a ton to do but the worst will be over.
My shoes came in Saturday! Of course last week I found a place I could’ve ordered these from who would’ve dyed them to match a swatch for only $15 more. But at that point the turnaround time would be cutting it too close, so I couldn’t do it. So I’ll dye them with my lining later this week.
They’re the Touch-ups “Beth” which have a ribbon lacing which most people remove for this. Every review I read said they run small, so go a size up – so I got a 7.5 instead of a 7. And they’re too big LOL. So I think I’m going to leave the ribbon on, since it should be hidden by the pants leg, that will help keep them from slipping off my heel with every step like they currently want to do.

I did decide I like a flatter shading on everything but the skin. So I may go back and redo everything like that, example:
It’s not totally flat, but flatter and I just like how it looks better. SO yeah.
OH! I forgot I hadn’t posted since then. I got a new tablet last week! I’ve been using a hand-me-down Bamboo Fun for several years now – after my previous Bamboo died when the cord gave out. Chase gave me his, and that’s what I’ve been using, carting back and forth to work everyday since I like to use it at work, too. Thanks to Kristie I got a new Intuos that can be made wireless (I’ll do that later). I haven’t set it up yet but I’m going to tonight (embroidery keeping me from doing anything fun at all ever), I think. So now my old tablet can just live at work and the new one will be for home. Yay!
So that’s the state of affairs.
