I was going to work on the shawl last night but I didn’t feel like it… instead I dug out some leftover pink lining to start looking at a mock-up for the sleeves.
Beyond cutting them out and pinning them I didn’t really do much more than that. I trimmed up the shape of the second one, but of course that’s not the one I took photos of.
Tonight I’ll actually gather the edges (instead of pinning them), stuff them and see how they look. Tweak the shape as need be. Not in a hurry for this part, since I haven’t got fabric for them yet. I was hoping I had enough pink velvet leftover from Belle last year but I don’t, so gotta go find something else.
I did have enough of this one trim leftover from Belle that I’m going to use on the top edge of the bodice:
I’m really trying to power on through this. I’m hoping by Sunday evening to have done:
Mockups for the sleeves finalized
Skirt partially painted
Ribbons attached to shoes
Shawl finished
And by the next weekend, everything finished except the wig (which I haven’t bought anything for yet so yeah that’s not happening in the next 2 weeks LOL)
