I have no idea what happened at 6 AM this morning but it sounded like a shotgun right in our backyard. I was laying in bed half-awake (thanks, migraine) and immediately yelled for Chase, who was sitting in the living room on the couch. He apparently bolted off the couch and scared the cat and ran into the bedroom to get a flashlight. Of course since the time change it’s still pitch black outside at 6, so looking out the windows he couldn’t see anything. By about 6:40 there was a bit more light and it was getting to the time where I needed to head out, so he braved it and went outside to look.
Absolutely nothing… all we can guess is that something fell in one of our neighbor’s yard. But we were spooked and already coming off a bad night’s sleep. I guess I’m going to bed early tonight.
Sewing wise… I’m done with Disgust except gluing the “D” onto the front of the belt. I’ve got my two dresses for the play basically put together and off for a fitting – I didn’t take any pictures of them because they are just two super simple sheath dresses (although they have the WEIRDEST DART I’ve ever seen in my life). When I get them back (today I think?) I’ve got to just get the facings in, top-stitched and hemmed, and the zipper in. Pretty simple.
Saturday should be interesting. Heading to MidSouthCon in the morning in Disgust… but then Chase & I both have hair appts that afternoon. I’m heading to the salon in full costume and green makeup LOL… I’ll just have to wash up and change in the bathroom at the salon, at least it’s a roomy bathroom!
I need to make a to-do list of stuff before heading to Disney. I can’t get my brain together lately.
