Here’s a preview of some more photos from Saturday:
I didn’t get any besides that uploaded – I was home sick from work yesterday so I pretty much slept all day.
Anyway, as I’ve been going through my old hard-drives I occasionally come across stuff I never uploaded, or I haven’t had uploaded in a long time.
Here’s a Slave Leia picture I’ve never used.
When we did the white backdrop of my Slave Leia costume, I was not happy with the results. So much so I never used the photos and redid the whole shoot a week or so later. I think I didn’t like my hair in the original one or something. I don’t know. This is one of the handful from the first photoshoot. Most of the poses are exactly like the second shoot, so there’s no point in digging up those old ones – except that this one stood out. So I uploaded it.
Yer a wizard Harry
Me and Kevin dressed up for Deathly Hallows part 2.
Here’s a funny story. That wig he’s wearing is my original Ripley wig. It worked really well for his Harry Potter costume. He got tired of wearing it that night, so I pulled it off him and stuck it in my bag.
Well I never saw it again after that. I went looking for it for him to wear to GMX a while later, and it was gone. I assumed it had fallen out of my purse at the theater and was gone for good. It caused a big stink because I was packing right before we left for GMX, tore the house apart, couldn’t find it ANYWHERE and Chase had to stop at the Halloween store and buy a cheap Beatles wig for him that looked awful.
I eventually bought a replacement wig for Ripley/Harry, and that’s what he’s worn recently, and what I wore in my white backdrop shots for Ripley.
Well Saturday, as I was cleaning, guess what I found?
For some reason it was stuck in my Giselle/Poison Ivy bin. I guess it just got stuck in there in the name of cleaning up. Never would have thought to look there, but, now we have it back and I can sell Ripley with the new wig and Kevin gets to keep his HP wig!
Sakura
Ah back in the days when I would just throw on a costume, go outside and press the timer button on our little digital camera.
Now I have to mentally work myself up to ever get in costume. It’s rough man. I’d rather just stay in my pajamas.
Blossom
I reckon I never used this because this is really boring. There is nothing interesting about this costume on my dressform.
Rogue & Wolvy
For Dragoncon 2007 we bought these couple of costumes and took some test shots. I didn’t like my hairpiece so I never used them, though the test shots paid off since I realized I didn’t like my hairpiece and got a new one. Looking back now it’s not so terrible.
Marion
A test shot right after I finished Marion in 2007. I have another one that I use all the time from the same night. This one is ok too. It’s a little darker so I suppose that’s why I never used it.
