Jacket mockup

Yall can probably expect me to actually update on costumes on a pretty regular basis this summer; I’ve been in a posty mood and I don’t see it fading.

Peggy Carter jacket mock-up. I used a basic blazer pattern as a starting point and cut it out of some felt. I did my seam changes and dart additions on this first, then used this as a pattern. It also nice to be able to write notes on it.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Here’s my 2nd jacket mockup I put together last night. I just put the pieces together and left it – tonight I need to press the seams and play with the collar and the fit.
I used this high quality felt since it was the only thing I had enough of that had a similar enough heaviness to my wool; although it’s much, much stiffer.
But the great thing about it is it’s really easy to write on LOL so I’ve got notes written on it for when I use these pieces as patterns.
Anyway; I edited out the princess seam in the front and it is now a partial dart. Added in the second dart and I think, looks wise, it looks good so far. Tonight’s plan: fit, collar, pressing, as I mentioned. I’m hoping to have it well enough done to be able to cut out my wool tomorrow night — buuut it may have to wait til Saturday. I need to see if I have enough lining material left.
