Disney Day 3 and 4…

Good morning!
Day 3 was our Magic Kingdom day! Dad wasn’t up to 100% yet but felt much better. We started out the morning with a very brisk and unexpected walk.
We had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, so we hopped the monorail to ride it around to the Grand Floridian. Well, at the Polynesian, we got stuck. The monorail ahead of us was having technical difficulties. We waited until the CM came around and stuck his head in each car and warned us they didn’t know how long it would be, and that shuttles were available downstairs. Not wanting to be late, we headed down to see if we could catch a shuttle, only to be told there is no shuttle from the Poly to the GF… but they gave us a map with the walkways highlighted LOL
So we hoofed it as quick as we could. Ended up in the wrong building first but got to see the awesome penguin fountain above.
We got over to the restaurant just in time and got seated, and pigged out. Mary Poppins came by first…
Followed by Pooh and Tigger…
Then Alice and the Mad Hatter.
The Mad Hatter was hilarious, he kept calling Chase “Markeck” (Chase had a Mark Ecko shirt on) and demanded my parents recite verses.
After that, we rode the monorail (thankfully now working) over to the Magic Kingdom.
We rode the Little Mermaid ride which my parents loved – we looked over at them once and they both had their cameras out, and mom was singing around. Then we met Ariel and she was totally adorable.
Then we met Rapunzel and Snow White. Rapunzel loved my Megan Lara Rapunzel shirt! (In fact I got so many compliments on it all day I should have written down the webstore address to hand out)
Now in all my trip planning, I never got an invite to the Be Our Guest FP+ trial. Everybody kept getting them but me. I was a little cheesed! I kept going over to the site and just trying to get it to work for me, but it never did. So I figured we’d brave the line. But then – tada! Saturday morning when I checked my inbox there was our invite. So I had everybody pick our their lunch for Monday in the car to the hotel.
I wish more of the restaurants did this. It was so easy. We breezed right in, found a table, and within a few minutes our food was there. It was all good, too.
Then we went and saw Philharmagic again since my parents missed it, and then we went and got our spot for the parade. We had a really good spot directly across from the castle. Chase took a TON of footage. I only snapped a few pics that first time, since I wanted to WATCH it and not through a camera.
The fire breathing dragon — right in front of us!!
Loved the new parade. Lots of fun.
After that, it was nap time so we headed back to the hotel. I realllly wanted to swim but nobody else did, so Chase and I walked down to the pool bar and he got a drink and I got a Mickey ice cream sandwich.
Then it was dinner time! Back to Magic Kingdom for our dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.
It was very good. We rode the train around and then just sat and talked for a bit before our reservation. For some reason this was the second dinner in a row where we talked about our favourite Seinfeld episodes.
Then we watched the fireworks and called it a night.
DAY 4….
Day 3 was our Epcot day. And my Anna and Elsa day. Since it was morning Extra Magic Hours, we got there right at park open, funneled through the line and I was planning to hoof it over to Norway to go ahead and get in line. Mom decided to come with me, so we got to Norway around 8:15ish. The CM told us where we were, it would be about a 1 hr, 45 minute wait, which was pretty close to accurate. Dad and Chase went and rode Test Track, brought us a snack, and then went to France for crossiants.
By the time we’d made it through the line it was 10:20 – not terrible.
Then we all went and rode Soarin’ – my parents had never ridden it and they loooved it.
We snacked at the Flower and Garden food booths throughout the week. I don’t remember when we had what, but at some point or another we had:
Dole Whip with coconut rum (yum)
Pork and Apple Sausage Roll in the UK pavilion (liked this enough to have twice)
Rose Blush Lemonade (another I had twice.)
Harissa Chicken Kebab with couscous at the Morocco pavilion
Frushi in Japan
Beijing-style candied strawberries in China
Tequila Flight in Mexico (twice)
We met Belle:
After that, it was naptime so back to the hotel for a break. We came back for dinner at Tutto Italia, which ended up being probably the best dinner we had all week. Our waiter was awesome, the food was good, the Limoncillo was good, the too-many desserts was good… we rolled out of there so stuffed we could barely make the walk back to the monorail.
As we walked back to Bay Lake Tower, Chase and I stopped and got snacks, then realized we’d perfectly timed it to watch Wishes from the walkway.
Next up… day 5 and 6, go figure.
