I got some decent work done last night! And took pics!
This one is actually from night before last. Gollum made my Donna Runaway Bride earrings for me.

I worked on the corset for the last costume for a bit – got the straps added, cleaned up some loose threads. Then I patterned out my skirt and cape. Thankfully I had JUST enough fabric (though I wish I’d had more for the cape, to make it wider, but I’m leaving it at this point).
Here’s the cape

I’m not hemming this chiffon. I’ll probably just cauterize it.
And here’s the front with the skirt pieces just pinned on.

Gandalf and Thor helped too

And then I re-dyed all my chiffon. I decided I wanted more lavender than pink. I didn’t dye every bit though, I’m hoping to have a kind of gradient-not-quite-tie-dyed thing going on. If I’m not happy with it, it’s into the dye remover and start over.

As of this morning they’re still pretty damp, so when I get home, they’ll lay out in the sun for a bit.
I’m going to start packing this afternoon! So exciting!
