So I was going to upload my Timegate photos tonight but never got around to it because I started reorganizing the kitchen. I didn’t mean to reorganize the kitchen, I was just filling up our new shelf in the kitchen, but it just escalated like those things do.
Here’s the new shelf!
The island on the bottom right corner is going away, I emptied it out tonight. Once we get it out of the house I can move our table over a bit and make it all look not so squished. Also got to get the art back on the wall.
It ended up being a bit fuller than I planned, but I got so excited putting stuff on it, it was all, “ooh i cleared that dvd case out and I still have room let’s put some of THESE books there too” sort of thing.
But some of it is going away soon, we’re going to buy a dvd holder for some of our less exciting dvds and store them in there, and get rid of the cases. Should free up a lot of space all around, not just on the new shelf.
While going through stuff I came across my Carl Perkins autograph!
I met him at a Beatle convention in 1996 (so kind of him to date it; otherwise I wouldn’t remember the exact year.)
Ashley and I were hanging out by ourselves at the convention and he was just walking down the hall. Someone got his autograph so we manned up and asked for his autograph, too. All we had were some brown paper bags that held some stuff we’d bought, so that’s what he signed. He died only 2 years later. This has just been floating around stuck in several books over the years and I really do need to get it framed.
