Marie Antoinette Progress

got a good bit of work done this weekend, mostly getting all the silver trim done. It’s all just pinned on here:

Started work on the lower sleeves. The interior sleeves were a silver satin, and I had so much left over I decided to use it to make a pleated trim for the front of the dress.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

And starting on the lower sleeves too, obviously. I started on my blue trim last night, but it’s taking a lot longer than the silver did. It’s hard to get a pin through the blue fabric, and my fingers were sore from trying to push pins in after only about a foot and a half was done. (brand new pins, too!)
Saturday the side of my foot found a broken, bent needle stuck in the carpet and I got a nice gash. Luckily no blood on the dress, which I had on top of me at the time. It still hurts and I can’t put all my weight down on my foot still, but it’s been getting better each day. Thanks to that, and the incident with the needle going all the way through my foot last year, Chase is going to pull the carpet up in my office after dragoncon and put wood flooring down. Yay!
