Marie Antoinette: Petticoat and skirt parts

Some Marie updates…

Starting my petticoat. Got the pieces cut and sewn together, but just pinned onto the dressform at the top.At this point, my dress fabric had not arrived yet. I picked out this purple for the petticoat because I thought, if it should be seen, it would be pretty against the ice blue taffeta I thought I was getting. Little did I know the fabric I was getting was royal blue. I ended up being happy with it and the petticoat colour was surprisingly close (and I learned a lesson in always ordering swatches).Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

(my panniers were riding a little low here)
This was right after I got the petticoat pieces cut – I had just pinned it all on to see how it was going to look. It’s finished now, you can kinda see it in the next pic.

Petticoat was done! Well, I thought it was - I had to go back and shorten it a bit.I got the skirt panels started of the dress! Exciting!!God my old Iphone 3 took awful photos.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

This pic kinda sucks, I took it on my way out the door yesterday just so I could show my mom.
There’s the finished petticoat – and half of the skirt. I’ve finished the two front and side panels of the skirt, switching to the bodice next.

I still haven’t decided what I want to do on the stomacher. I think I want it to be fairly simple, but that’s the only decision I’ve made.
