Christmas Shopping

We’ve been busy!
Friday night after work, we went out to eat and then ran over to Oak Court mall. I’ve always loved that mall but we don’t get over there very often. We had 2 things on the agenda: christmas presents, and also, new clothes for Chase. He’s wanting to get a few more “professional” looking things, for lack of a better word – just things that look nice when he goes to meet clients without being dressy. We ended up not finding much. I did find a present for my mom, but that was about it. Chase got some ideas but didn’t find anything to buy.

But it was nice going out shopping Friday night – it made it feel like Saturday and then we still had 2 days of weekend left!

Saturday Chase went out shopping by himself for a while in the morning. I cleaned house and did laundry while he was gone. When he got home, we braved Wolfchase mall. It was a madhouse. And can I say – that kind of crowd would not be bad if people had any kind of sense, any kind of respect for the fact other people are around them, etc. You know what I’m talking about – the people who come to a dead stop right in front of you to look at something, standing around blocking the escalators while chatting, slinging their bags over their shoulder without seeing if someone is behind them. All those sort of things.
First stop was the Disney store – I’ve been excited to go to pick out something for my littlest cousins. The things I want but I’m too old for, LOL. I had planned on getting a plain Rapunzel doll for Josey, but ended up getting the “baby Rapunzel” doll instead – a little bigger and very cute.
Then I don’t remember where all we went, all over the place. We did succeed in finding Chase a few new things that look really nice. A few more presents, and then 4 hours later we were finally done at the mall.
We hoped over to Hobby Lobby because I wanted a nice box to put Kevin’s Gryffindor Robes in. I wanted a red box that I cold write “Madam Malkin’s” on the front. We didn’t find anything that was the right shape, but we did find this:

I picked up a gold paint pen, I’m going to draw a Madam Malkin’s logo on front with it, and also make up a letter to put inside from Madam Malkin to Kevin. I need to find some brown butcher paper to wrap the chest up in, and tie it up with twine… put a few fake “stamps” on it and address it to “Kevin, in the little bedroom, by the lake” etc. I’m going to set it on his doorstep for him to find Christmas day LOL
I have to make it fun since he knows what he’s getting.

After Hobby Lobby we ran over to Target, then to Starbucks, then to Borders, and then a late dinner, picked up a movie at Redbox and chilled the rest of the night šŸ™‚

Today – Chase is in Nashville! I’m going to wrap presents, and then tonight is Ashley’s birthday dinner.
