3 days left… costume updates

I can’t believe Dragoncon is upon us, and I can’t believe how little I’ve posted this past month.
I guess it’s just been everything going on and the slight weirdness of not being in my own place while working. (On that note, though, it looks like we’re closing on the house the day after we get back from Dragoncon. Kinda sucks, I wanted it the 15th to give a little cushion after being out of town.)

Anyway, I’m partially packed and nearly ready after a weekend of work. I’m going to post my rough schedule in a public post in a second.

I’m done with my part on Wonder Woman, and note to self: from here on out, never cut swimsuit patterns to a “medium” because that’s way too big. I had to remake my WW bottoms, it was easier to just cut a new pair than to pick the hem out to take them up again. Chase is expecting to put the primer on all my hard piece tonight, and painting them tomorrow.

Black Canary is done, I finally got the courage to the cut the wig. The wig’s all right, but if I put it on at the con and I’m not 100% crazy about it I’m going to wear my old Black Canary wig. And for that matter if I’m not crazy about this Black Canary costume in general I’m going to wear my old Black Canary costume instead. LOL I haven’t tried the whole thing on yet. I dont know how its going to look. I do have a backup I can wear if I don’t like the bodysuit. OR if I rip the bodysuit which is my biggest fear, LOL.

Rogue is mostly done, wig is done. I had to make a second leotard yesterday to wear under the first, because it was just too see-through. I made my legband yesterday, I forgot about it until yesterday morning. Chase has painted the jewels for the boots, I still need to attach those, and I’m hoping he makes my collar tonight so I can finally mark this costume off my list.

Poison Ivy is nearly done except the accessories. I’m vaguely worried about it, but if parts of it don’t work out I’ve at least got SOMETHING to wear. I’m not going to be able to have the whole thing on until the con which is what worries me, I guess.

I made my Marvel Girl belt and Chase cut my mask last night. I’m hoping my belt buckle shows up today or I’m going to have to make one tomorrow.

And the other costume is almost exactly where it was last post, because Chase still hasn’t finished casting the buttons. He’s promised to have them finished today so I can freaking finish this costume.

I woke up this morning at like 7:15 and couldn’t go back to sleep because I started thinking about dragoncon LOL i’m so excited!
