So MTAC was pretty much ok.
Like I said in my previous post, I wore Belle, then Utena —
I need to fix the waistband on Belle, as I said last post.
Also, it was too darn cold to wear the shoes I brought to wear with this!! LOL I opted for my tennis shoes instead!
Link is ambushed by Mario and Luigi!
I wrote pretty much everything I needed to say about Utena last post – I can tell the story about the shoulder pieces now! We waited until the night before to make the mold for them, unfortunately. They did not turn out well – it looked like cottage cheese. ICK! We ended up having to use the master for one shoulder and the messed up cottage cheese one for the other. I had to paint them and attach the tassels in the hotel room. But, Chase is making a new master – to fix all those problems – and the new one will have channels underneath for the tassels to slide into, so they don’t push the shoulder pieces up higher than they need be. Also the sword just needs some tweaking.
I’m so glad I was able to get pics with Rose in her Shiori rosebride!
Since we had quite a few Star Wars characters downstairs, and Chase was putting on Vader, I decided to put on Leia (it was originally supposed to be my Sunday costume). So we stuck Kevin in Ash’s X-Wing Pilot costume, as Luke (he had brought his lightsaber with him).
Kevin, Chase and me
Then we went upstairs and ordered dinner — and then I painted myself orange, and it was Teen Titans time. It was awesome!
I was ready to get out of starfire by then, so we went upstairs, I de-oranged, and put on Wonder Woman.
Sunday we got up and packed, then loaded up the car and hit the dealer’s room. I just have to say, that on Sunday — it was SNOWING. WTF. Kevin spent his money on a few things, then we headed home. I didn’t dress up Sunday, was too lazy.
Kevin’s sword and shield came Monday. They are nice! He LOVES them. Going to make a new hat for him tomorrow, so he can take pics with them this weekend.
