MTAC 2010 Pics

I updated my costume site with Julia. Can't update the blog on the front page yet, since I still haven't decided what to do about it and blogger discontinued ftp publishing saturday. MTAC was. I mostly followed Chase around while he shot stuff, so we didn't really do a lot. I wore Julia twice, Jane most of the day saturday. Wonder Woman for like 5 seconds on sunday. Like I said ...

Stuck! at MTAC 2010

We are staying in Nashville another night due to the flooding. We thought we could get out and home since i40west looked ok on the news. We kept looking for info on how the road looked past Nashville and finally heard the road was collapsed (and closed!) around dickson. So we are stuck. There are worse places to be stuck than a hotel on high ground. I've got to ...

Hello from MTAC!

I'm on my phone so excuse any typos! Mtac has been fun so far. It's really crowded and loud and I feel like I've hardly been in costume. I wore Julia last night and was pretty happy with it- I wore Jane the majority of today but I spent most of that time in our photo and posing panels. Put on regular clothes to eat dinner and help out with ...

Headed to MTAC

We are about to head to MTAC. Well, in about 3 hours. I've got the car cleaned out, I'll load it up in a bit, when Chase gets home we'll hit the road. I'm going to wear Julia tonight. Chase is have to shoot some stuff (he's one of the con photographers) so I'll be tagging along with him playing assistant :) Tomorrow morning I'll be doing Free Comic Book Day in ...

MTAC plans!

We'll be at MTAC starting tomorrow night! I'm excited :) Saturday morning I'll be wearing Ms Marvel for Free Comic Book Day, then heading back to the con for Chase and Derek's photo panel, followed by a posing-for-photography panel. I'm taking Julia from Cowboy Bebop, Anne Boleyn, and Jane from Tarzan to wear the rest of the day, I don't know when I'll be wearing any of those though LOL Both ...

MTAC 2007 Pics!

So MTAC was pretty much ok. Like I said in my previous post, I wore Belle, then Utena -- I need to fix the waistband on Belle, as I said last post. Also, it was too darn cold to wear the shoes I brought to wear with this!! LOL I opted for my tennis shoes instead! Link is ambushed by Mario and Luigi! I wrote pretty much everything I needed ...

Hello from MTAC 2007!

Relaxing in the room here at MTAC for a moment. So far it's been pretty good. My only complaint about the con itself was finding out "no weapons allowed" just as we got to the door of the dealer's room - after standing in line for 30 minutes to get there. They said I could check my sword (my fragile Utena sword -- I don't trust anyone to handle it but ...

Costume & Convention Plans

Weekend after next is St Patrick's Day; we're planning on going to Atlanta again for their big parade, with the 501st/RL. I'm - hopefully - wearing Queen Amidala, the parade dress. After the mixup last year I'm a little skittish about things falling through again. On top of that, a bunch of our local members have decided not to go. We're still going; I'm just not all that excited ...

a long overdue update

(EDIT: This was a catch-all collection of recent costume photos and events originally posted to my livejournal. Since I ported it over here, it may be a bit redundant.) As I said in the last quick post, sorry for disappearing the past couple of months! Besides the usual weekday work drudge, I've been out of town almost every weekend since March, and add to that trying to finish various costumes ...
