when i wore arwen to school

Yesterday was OK. I wore Arwen all day… it was ok to work in, the heels gave me a little trouble, and I kept stepping on my dress. I got to school and found out there had been a threat that morning – they have found a live ammo clip right outside the back of the school with a note attached to it saying something like, “your name here.” And later on I found it the threat had been specifically addressed to people who were in costume!! WTF!

Yet classes went on, I saw no police, nothing. It’s like, gee, thanks for being so concerned about us students. They should have cancelled classes!!! (btw, I only saw 2 other people in costume, and only 3 people said anything to me about my costume. Everybody else ignored it like it was normal LOL) After that I went over to Na’s and changed into Hermione and we went to their church parking lot and set the candy up on the trunk for the trick-or-treaters to come by after they got out of their puppet show or whatever they were doing inside. It was frickin FREEZING. I wore my tights which helped my legs, but they were still cold. A lot of kids recognized me, but most of them would just stare at me from a distance whispering “hermione! it’s hermione!” And then stare some more. One kid came up to me (dressed as the Scream guy) and goes “You’re Hermione! I saw you in your movie!” LOL. After we ran out of candy we went to Starbucks and got coffee cause we were so cold, then to McDonald’s for dinner. We went inside McDonald’s… one kid in there kept staring at me, and then whispered to her mom, “that’s hermione!”

Then I came home. Mom said we had had a grand total of 3 trick-or-treaters. Wow. House across the street got rolled again, and we got a little of it. Next year I’m going to hide out front and catch those little punks.
