when mo got the cokes

This morning before I left for work, I wrote a note to myself as a reminder of the things I needed to do after work. But, dad called while I was writing it, and I got distracted in the middle of it. So without thinking I just stuck it in my back pocket and went on my way.

After work, I pulled the note out. It read, “Cokes Mo”

Cokes Mo. I pondered the meaning of this for some time. Apparently I needed to get Cokes, but what was this mysterious Mo? Actually, at first, I thought it said Ma. Cokes Ma. Like, “Get the cokes, ma!” But I write my lowercase A’s with the little hook over the top, so eventually I figured out that it wasn’t Ma, it was Mo.

That brings me back to Cokes Mo.

It wasn’t until after I got the cokes and got back home that I realized that I hadn’t finished writing the note in the first place. It was supposed to have been “Cokes [and] Money Order.”

That means I forgot the money order for Animazement. Back to $40 for all three days. Cokesmo would be a good curse word for when you forget to get your money order.

(And that, my friends, was the most interesting thing that happened to me today. Well, that, and my granddad brought donuts to work and I ate like, five in the car before I even got to the first stoplight…mmm… donuts… Oh and he brought these wacko Apple things. I forget what they’re called. Apple fritters? I don’t know. But it looks like… like something you’d find on the ground in a horse pasture. I brought it home, I’ll let dad eat it.)
