Christmas 2011 gifts!

I made a couple of presents this year! First, for my youngest cousin, I made a little reversible dress-up cape. Purple is her favourite colour so I went with a lavender velvet for one side, and sparkley purple for the other. It was a fun little project. Next, I made an ornament out of felt for my aunt, of her dog, Daisy. I didn't get photos of it finished, unfortunately ...

Christmas 2011 Tree!

Made the decision to go ahead and decorate on Thursday: We haven’t finished painting the living room or finished the new mantle – but I couldn’t wait; if I’d waited on all that to be done we’d probably wouldn’t have put the tree up til February. Ha. So excuse the unfinished mantle, but it’s nice to have the tree next to the fireplace. Looks nice ...

Merry Christmas 2010, a week later

Sorry I haven't posted since last week! Obviously Christmas kept me busy, and then it was back to work. I have the next two days, the weekend, and Monday off. I'm super excited about that. I'm staying home, chilling, doing some artwork, some puzzles and some sewing. So here's the recap. Friday was Christmas with the bigger side of my family. It actually went by much faster than usual. Food ...

Christmas Shopping

We've been busy! Friday night after work, we went out to eat and then ran over to Oak Court mall. I've always loved that mall but we don't get over there very often. We had 2 things on the agenda: christmas presents, and also, new clothes for Chase. He's wanting to get a few more "professional" looking things, for lack of a better word - just things that look nice when ...

christmas meme!

1. Eggnog or Hot Chocolate? I don't really care for hot chocolate, but since I've never had eggnog, I'll have to go with hot chocolate. 2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? When I as little Santa sat them under the tree. Now we wrap everything unless it's too big. (No kids to surprise.) 3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? both, right now we have a ...

Decorating & Christmas shopping

Friday night Chase and I decorated the house. Chase put up the tree while I put out everything else, we had Elf on the TV and I baked some cookies. It was fun :) Here's a few crappy cell phone pics. Not a lot new on the tree this year. Nothing geeky (didn't see any we had to have from Hallmark this year) - we just picked a few cute things ...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We had a fun Christmas Eve yesterday. We got gift cards, clothes, etc. We got up this morning and opened our presents to each other. I got new boots, Ame-Comi Huntress, little princess figures (Snow White and Aurora), a book on Tudor England, "Up" on dvd, and lots of other little goodies. I can't wait to get dressed and wear my boots LOL

christmas 2008!

Our first Christmas was really nice :) I got a new laptop bag, a really nice top hat for my Zatanna costume (the one I had at dragoncon was a rental), a new external harddrive, lolcat magnets, the new dvd shelf we wanted, a wine cooler (LOL yeah we drink so much wine), lots of new clothes, etc. Also a freaking GIANT harry potter statue - I don't know what I'm ...

merry christmas 2007!

We came back from Mema's last night, it was the usual fun & madness. Got lots of stuff, and Chase and I got a huge framed Return of the Jedi poster and decided it would be from both of us to both of us LOL Some pics. I realised after taking this first picture that my mother set it out wrong, she had the shepherd and Joseph mixed up, LOL. ...
