The Sims: Freddie the Influencer

Ok so on my new laptop Sims is actually blazing fast! So I’ve been playing again. It’s been a while since we had a sims story on the blog, so I thought I’d share this one.

I’ve been seeing people on Tiktok do this 1×1 room challenge where you start a sim in just a plain 1×1 square room and they have to take and sell photos of themself to make money to expand it and buy the basics. I thought that sounded fun.

If my sim is going to be taking and selling photos of herself, I made her into a generic influencer girl. Her name is Freddie and that was the name the generator gave her – I’d have given her a better name if I realized how much I was going to enjoy and keep playing this particular game! I also would’ve taken screenshots.

Anyway, Freddie starts off in her 1×1 room and takes and sells a bunch of pics. It’s a rough start at first.

So embarrassing to have to sell photos of yourself in a 1×1 room.

But soon enough she made enough to expand the room and add a toilet, then a mini fridge, etc etc. Eventually she gets good enough at photography and selling her photos that she’s got a fairly decent little studio apartment/house deal going on.

She meets the guy from across the street – it’s one of the basic households that comes with the game, the “BFFs” house that includes a guy named Travis Scott. They fall in love and oops they end up having a baby. They named her B Boy (Chase was sitting next to me on the couch and I asked him what to name her, and that’s the name he gave me LOL)

B Boy’s early life wasn’t great because Freddie didn’t have money for baby necessities. Plus she was too busy making videos on her computer and posting them trying to be a fashion influencer to spend much time with B Boy. But when B Boy was a toddler, Freddie had earned enough from her videos to move them into the cute little house next door and B Boy finally got her own room and bed and toys.

Freddie tried acting for a while but it didn’t go anywhere, so she switched to the social media carrier and did fantastic. She went viral numerous times, with millions of followers and eventually became world famous. It’s all she ever wanted.

Her relationship with Travis never wavered either. The two eventually secretly got married, but to maintain her fame, she never let him move in with her and B Boy. He had a key and came over all the time so he was still a regular in their lives, just not publicly.

They also adopted a cat named Oliver. One of B Boy’s traits was cat lover so of course they had to get a cat. And boy was that cat sick ALL THE TIME. Freddie was so irritated at having to take it to the vet every other day.

Anyway, as it turns out, B Boy was a genius. She excelled in many skills as a toddler and then as a child, all on her own while Freddie was doing her influencer thing.

B Boy did great in school and eventually went on to college, where she graduated with all A+s. She went into the astronaut career, and quickly went up the ranks thanks to all of her skills she honed as a teenager.

Freddie meanwhile grew bored of the social media career and making videos, so she decided to try acting again. Right after she switched careers, she got an intriguing call from a person offering her a job as a secret agent. She accepted, and the very next day she stumbled into some government secrets she couldn’t sit on. So she blew the whistle, and got fired from her secret agent job. Well that didn’t last long. At least she can make some crazy youtube videos about her experience. She went back to the acting gig.

B Boy felt lonely. She’d had a boyfriend in high school, but she was an adult now and he was still a teen so she needed to find new companionship. On Love Day, she decided to send a flirty text – she had an acquaintance named Korey (who had a fabulous beard), and he seemed like the perfect option for a Love Day Date.

He responded to the flirty text inviting her to the bar, so off they went. When they arrived, B Boy tried some flirting, and that… didn’t go well. Korey didn’t like it. So she reverted back to some friendly interactions and… half of those Korey didn’t like either. B Boy was still in a very flirty mood so she tried to seduce Korey, and that made him INCREDIBLY mad. Like seriously their relationship bar went into the solid red. Annnnd they fought, right in the middle of the bar. B Boy won, because she’s jacked from working out to be an astronaut LOL But that Love Day did NOT go as planned. Seriously I had meant for them to date and I was going to move him in!

Back at the house, Travis called up Freddie to ask her out on their usual Love Day date. They went to a bar, had a good time, flirted, had some drinks. But then it was time for Freddie to go to work filming a commercial, so she left the bar. Control reverted back to B Boy who was back at home, asleep in bed.

A minute later, B Boy gets a phone call. It’s from a random sim expressing their condolences over the loss of Travis. What?! Sure enough B Boy is now sad over the death of someone close. Freddie gets home from work and she’s sad over the death of a spouse! What the heck happened! We just left him at the bar!

B Boy goes across the street to Travis’ house (the BFF house) and sure enough, it’s only his 2 roommates there now. She goes inside and there’s Travis’ urn right there by the front door. What the heck even happened!! I think I may have to add B Boy to that household temporarily to see if she can take the urn back to their house.

Wow.

Anyway, that happened. Wild. B Boy still had to go to work the next day. Freddie has the self absorbed trait, so while she still had a sad emotion, it wasn’t overwhelming and she was happy doing other stuff. Typical. I decided she needed a new romantic partner, so I opened up her menu of friends to see who she had the best friend relationship with that we could build a new romantic relationship with — and you’ll never guess who it is.

That’s right it was KOREY!!

So she invited over Korey while B Boy was at work and the two of them REALLY hit it off. Just as they were having their first kiss, B Boy gets home. She immediately walked up to Korey and declared him her mortal enemy!

Oh the drama!

I think I’m going to move him in and move them to the city in a nice apartment. They’ve really outgrown this little house. I want Freddie to retire once she hits elder (she already took one youth potion to deage) and I want B Boy to change jobs. I’ll update again at some point. Or I won’t. There’s no telling with sims.

4/11/25 update:
Oh gosh, what all has happened since I last updated?

Well first up – Freddie and Korey had a baby. They named the baby HANSEL (you have to say it like the announcer says “HANSEL” at the award show in Zoolander). Hansel was a creative baby who grew up in a creative artsy sim who loved to play music. So naturally he went to college for art. He became a very successful artist with a residency at a museum (or college? I can’t remember) and after a job switch, now he’s (after de-aging once) a first class entertainer who has mastered every instrument, as well as writing multiple best sellers.

Sadly, Freddie died. She aged up, and died of old age. I did try to beg to save her but alas. I stuck her urn in a weird little floating space above a staircase where her ghost couldn’t leave and eventually she faded away. Poor Freddie.

Also I did not move them. I kept expanding their house, which is now 4 stories tall (including basement). The house actually works really well and I think moving them would make me lose my interest in the family.

During college HANSEL met a townie named Becca. They hit it off and Becca got pregnant. So Becca moved in and she and the new baby (named Grizzly Cup – yes Cup not Cub, we have a cup from the Memphis Grizzlies and that is what she is named after) took over the huge attic space. In fact I blockaded them in there so Becca could take care of the baby, have a nice bathroom, a tv, a little kitchen, everything she needed — all without bothering B Boy and HANSEL while they worked on their skills and jobs.

Speaking of B Boy… golly what hasn’t she done! I think I’ve de-aged her 3 times at this point. She’s held a myriad of jobs and left at the top of every one. She’s mastered almost every skill except Gardening and Flower Arranging. She’s fulfilled so many lifetime aspirations. Currently she is in the Tech Guru career, but her aspiration is now to go to college again, so we’re trying to juggle college classes while also being very high up in the Tech Career. I’ve decided we are not de-aging her again and once she tops out of the Tech Career, I’m going to let her quit and go back to college full time since that’s what she wants to do. Enjoy her retirement leisurely taking classes at the local college.

So now onto Grizzly Cup. Once Grizzly Cup was a child and didn’t need round the clock care anymore, Becca moved out and Grizzly Cup took over the little bedroom on the first floor. Grizzly Cup is an imaginative child who loves stories and fairies and vampires and ghosts. Her aspiration was to become a vampire when she grew up. So I prepared her for that, while also building some creative skills as well as mischief. She did so well in high school, she graduated early, and went and found a vampire and got herself turned.

She went to college for villainy. She was doing great, until one sunny day she decided to walk home and burned to death in the sun. I teleported B Boy over there ASAP to beg but it was no use. I turned her into a playable ghost but all of her college progress was gone, so I shut the game down and started over from my last save.

I decided that was enough of vampirism, got her out of that, and she became a spellcaster instead. That’s a bit safer.

Grizzly Cup graduated college with all As and became a spy. That’s what she is doing right now. She’s also topped out of the spellcaster levels. Maybe we do werewolf next?

The weirdest thing of all though is that randomly, last night, HANSEL and B Boy decided they hated each other. I have no idea why. They have never hated each other, even though HANSEL was the product of the romance between B Boy’s mom and her mortal enemy, Korey. They’ve always gotten on well together, they dance together, open Christmas presents together, they had a great relationship. So I was shocked when last night I got a notification that they despise each other? WTF! I have no idea if this was a glitch or what. So I spent a while making them be friendly with each other until they were back in the green.

But then today I got a notification that HANSEL has an AWFUL REPUTATION?! He is a minor celeb due to his bestseller novels, his masterpieces hanging in art galleries, and his incredible music career. Like I have no idea how he got an awful reputation, he doesn’t DO anything besides practice? (He has the practice makes perfect trait, and I bought him the “needs no one” reward as soon as I could so I didn’t have to make him socialize).

Ok so in my head he is a tad… hm what’s the word… arrogant nerd dude. Like nerdy in his interests and all of his outfits have that borderline cosplay flair, and arrogant because he thinks he’s smarter than everybody… so really the awful reputation kinda fits? So I’m gonna lean into it.

Oh and last thing, at one point B Boy adopted chickens. She named the Chicken Coop “Rupaul’s Chicken Coop” and all of the chickens after drag queens. Well at some point I accidentally deleted the coop (I think it happened when I was moving stuff underneath it in the basement) and some of the chickens disappeared or died or something. All that was left was Jaida Essence Hall, Jinkx Monsoon, Raja Gemini and Willow Pill. Jaida just disappeared at some point. I have no idea where went. Raja died of old age. So we just have Willow Pill and Jinkx Monsoon left. I moved them to the basement pool/bar area where HANSEL keeps his musical instruments and he feeds them when he goes to practice.

4/15/25:
HANSEL has died of old age. I had written the Book of Life for him but forgotten how to use it so I didn’t bind it to him or whatever it is you do, so oopsie. I decided to just let him go, I wasn’t doing anything with him anymore, he was just going to the same old topped out job everyday. His wandering ghost is annoying me so he may be GONE GONE soon LOL

B Boy retired from the Tech Guru career, and I did age her down one more time. Look, she was stuck at level 9 in the career for AGES and I had planned to retire her when she topped out and let her age up and just take classes at the college for fun since that was her new aspiration. But no matter what I did she wasn’t getting to level 10. She’s been stuck at 9 for a couple of days now, so I said fuck it, and last night I used the promote cheat to get her to 10 and then immediately retired her. Her aspiration involves going to college too much so she can’t do both at the same time.

(Also I figured out the B Boy/HANSEL altercations the other day. He got home from work and usually he just stands there or goes straight to like video games until I tell him to do something else, but I noticed as soon as he walked in the door he was making a beeline for B Boy. I looked to see what he was doing and he was going to go and he was going to “taunt B Boy about college superiority” (they went to different colleges). I googled it and turns out if a Sim has the childish trait, they will do this and make others mad! I had just given him the childish trait because I noticed he only had 2 traits so I went in and added a 3rd just a couple of days before. So that explains what was happening. I removed the childish trait and it never happened again!)

Grizzly Cup is a Super Villain. I don’t know what I want to do with her. I think I might let her be a werewolf? She has a werewolf friend. I haven’t done a lot with werewolves so it might be fun. Would be fun to start a little werewolf family.

4/22/25:
Now what’s the latest?

B Boy has again been through multiple jobs. After doing another stint at college, she first joined the military again and became a Sim-in-Black. Meanwhile Grizzly Cup had joined the Criminal career and had become a master hacker “Oracle.” Awkward! B Boy then accidentally aged up before I could give her a Potion of Youth again, so she’s been stuck as an elder. I decided to have her finish every single skill, and just as she as finishing up Painting… she died. ARGH.

BUT! Grizzly Cup had written her Book of Life. I got out of the inventory, had B Boy’s ghost read it to come back to life and… nothing. She’d read it and put it back on the shelf. And nothing would happen. I was ticked!

I eventually just went and bought some ambrosia out of the gallery and brought her back that way.

Since then she’s become a professor, retired, and now she’s a Paranormal Investigator. She and Grizzly Cup both have maxed out every single skill. They are very accomplished Sims!

Grizzly Cup left the Criminal career and joined the culinary career and she is currently a master mixologist. She’s also working on her spellcaster potion making to mixed results.

And yes, Grizzly Cup did start a little werewolf family. She was a werewolf for a while but I got tired of it and moved her back to spellcaster. But anyway, she met Wolfgang at a park and they hit it off. They accidentally got engaged (seriously I didn’t mean to. B Boy got a call from Wolfgang telling her that he found a ring in Grizzly Cup’s bag or whatever, what should he do? And I had B Boy say “say yes” – and then Wolfgang and Grizzly Cup were engaged LOL).

I can’t decide if this is cute or weird.

They had a wedding there at the house but Wolfgang went full crazy werewolf and ate the wedding arch and scared off the guests. He finally got it under control and they were married (didn’t move him in tho.)

They had a little girl, HeyWhattheHell. She was a cut kid with blue space buns. Her life goal was athletics. She did great in school and graduated early, then went straight into athletics. (Did she go to the college? I can’t remember now.) After maxing out of the athletic career, she is now working as a conservationist.

One night Grizzly Cup accidentally set the oven on fire (How? she’s maxed out of both cooking skills, so I dunno), and 2 firefighters showed up. HeyWhattheHell fell in love with one firefighter with an epic mustache. But he wasn’t very nice. She worked and worked at that relationship and eventually he agreed to a science baby.

The science baby is a little girl named Suzie Toot. She is an alien baby. Because why not.

They also adopted a dog named Cooper. So right now the house consists of B Boy (elder, Paranormal Investigator, amazing at everything she does), her half-niece Grizzly Cup (adult, mixologist, amazing at everything she does), Grizzly Cup’s daughter HeyWhattheHell (buff as hell conservationist with now-pink hair), and HeyWhattheHell’s science baby Suzie Toot (alien toddler).

Also weird glitchy sort of thing? Wolfgang the werewolf was obviously married to Grizzly Cup and also became very good friends with B Boy. But out of the blue one day he visited (he had a key) and all of his relationships with everyone was gone? He was still married to Grizzly Cup but like their relationship was back to 0. They all had to reintroduce themselves to him. I built his relationship with Grizzly Cup back up, only for the next time he came over, it was reset to 0 again. So today, they got divorced. I’m not playing those head games, Wolfgang!

Another glitch is that none of them can ask Father Winter for presents anymore. Annoying.

Also B Boy has been abducted by aliens at least 3 times.

(and HeyWhattheHell got killed by a meteor once, but I had just saved so I shut down and restarted!)

4/23/25:

I’m back already with more!

Suzie Toot aged up and LOOK HOW CUTE SHE IS she looks like a little Gelfling.

But I’m back to mostly say that Grizzly Cup died not once, but TWICE since yesterday. Since she completed her Potion Master aspiration, I moved her to a fame aspiration. I got her the drone so she could stream, and set up dancing on a livestream. Well she died of HYSTERIA because she was too happy LOL.

B Boy begged for her life but it didn’t work. So I did the same thing I did when B Boy died and bought her the ambrosia out of the gallery and she was back to life before the Grim Reaper even had a chance to leave.

(Also B Boy flirted hard with the Grim Reaper and they were just on the verge of their first kiss before he disappeared!)

So when Grizzly Cup came back she wasn’t in her mixologist career anymore, so I figured since she was now trying to be famous, I moved her to the actor career.

So the next Sim day I had her up and streaming again and set her up dancing and guess what, she died AGAIN.

This time I was ready though – Grizzly Cup had a death flower in her inventory, so I’d moved it over to B Boy, and she successfully gave Grim the death flower and saved Grizzly Cup.

Meanwhile, HeyWhatheHell got stuck peeing on the toilet for about 10 hours of sim time. I left her to see how long she’d stay there and finally had to move her out so somebody else could use the bathroom.

5/1/25:
Oh, my god. I can’t believe this game is still going.

So as I was originally starting this game, I was watching that massive Beverly Hillbillies documentary on youtube. (It’s great, go watch it) I thought, when I get bored of this family, I should make a Beverly Hillbillies family. Well here I am STILL playing the Freddie Family. But I decided hey, why not make the Freddie family eventually BE the Hillbilly family? So that’s where we are headed.

Grizzly Cup married again. To another werewolf. Girl’s got a type, I guess. She’s also a global superstar right now. She just aged up into elder again. I think I may just let her go at this point. She’s got so many aspiration rewards she only sleeps every other day, barely needs to eat or use the bathroom, so she’s kinda getting boring.

B Boy is in the same boat – she just sits around all day because she’s maxed every skill, maxed like 6 or 7 different careers and aspirations. But right now she just got a call to join the athlete career, so she’s doing that. Plus I do want to keep one of these maxed out characters around for mentoring the younger ones, cooking really good meals that last a long time and for their incredible repair skills.

HeyWhattheHell aged up into an elder, and eventually died of old age. I was just kinda done with her and wanted to move on to new genrations. Also, it was really creeping me out that HeyWhattheHell constantly would have romantic interaction options anytime she was interacting with B Boy. Like dude that’s your GREAT AUNT. But the game apparently doesn’t understand that deep of a family tree.

But speaking of romantic options, when HeyWhattheHell passed, B Boy shot her shot with the Grim Reaper.

Oh my. She apparently REALLY enjoyed it LOL.

So Suzie Toot aged up, aced college (history) and immediately went into the law career as a judge, and was maxed out in the career within a few days. Good for her.

In order to start moving this family into the Hillbilly family, Suzie Toot needed to have a kid. So I created a new next door neighbor for her – Horace Clampett. He’s a very kind, hard working gardener. Suzie Toot used a potion of forced friendship and they were married within a few hours of meeting each other.

I had intended for them to be Jed Clampett’s parents, but I realized, oh dang I needed to do Granny first, so I’m just gonna change their last names to Moses. I think just for ease of playing, Granny WILL be Jed’s mom instead of MIL, and I’ll just make his name Clampett when he’s born.

The whole family as of today! Suzie Toot and Horace had a little boy named Kitt (Moses). He will eventually be Granny’s dad.

Kitt is also a sweet little kid who is very very smart and already maxed out his “thinking” skills and now working on creativity. He’s doing really well in school, but I think for the hillbilly flair we’ll be skipping college and getting him moving into adult life.

I do want to move them to “Hollywood” once I have the whole family. Which bums me out to leave this house because it’s set up so nice, but I’m sure we’ll make it work.

5/8/25:

So what’s happened in the last week? Well Grizzly Cup died of old age TWICE… and I just couldn’t let her go. First time B Boy saved her with that death rose thing and second tme, Horace begged for her life. So since I couldn’t let her go I de-aged her back to adult and changed up her look just to give her a refresh.

But y’know, while Grizzly Cup was trying to die, B Boy had to take advantage of running into her new lover the Grim Reaper. And guess what, he didn’t like her anymore!

Completely rejected her kiss. How embarrassing.

Grizzly Cup has now finally made it to Superstar in the actor career. That’s part of the reason I didn’t want her to die yet, so now that she’s maxed out, maybe next time Grim arrives, she’ll go with him.

B Boy has changed careers a few times. She was a Body Builder and when she maxed that out, she switched to Tech Guru (again) and now she’s doing something with writing, I dunno, somebody called and offered the job and I took it.

Horace and Suzie Toot are doing well. Horace is a top level Gardener. He got a little out of shape so he’s been working on his fitness skills in the morning before work. Suzie Toot was maxed out in the law career for ages, but she made a move over to politics and is currently Leader of the Free World.

Also everybody has been abducted by aliens multiple times at this point. I dunno why.

Family exercise time

Kitt is now an adult. He graduated from college with a degree in Biology and is now a doctor. He married the girl next door, Rosie, who is a dreamy romantic who likes to paint and garden and crochet. (Oh and B Boy also took up crocheting because I didn’t realize I had the expansion that had that and she needed to add it to all of her other maxed out skills).

Kitt and Rosie had a daughter named Daisy — who will eventually be the Beverly Hillbillies Granny. Here she is looking like a horror show after aging up.

Daisy is currently in high school. She’s doing well. I don’t guess I’ll send her to college… and I don’t guess I’ll move in whoever her husband will be. We’re almost at max capacity here so I gotta start letting the old folks be ghosts. Maybe time to clear out the garden and make room for a cemetery.

That sounds grim. But here they are all opening presents. I got tired of dragging out the Winterfest stuff every couple of days so they have a permanent tree in the basement LOL

5/14/25:
Here’s the latest!

B Boy remains unchanged. Grizzly Cup has aged into a senior again, but I gave a potion of youth once I got the “Grizzly Cup’s long life is coming to an end…” warning. So she’s a senior but she’s a young senior.

Unfortunately the Grim Reaper came for Horace. B Boy begged for his life and won! He was saved!

But then before Grim could even leave, Suzie Toot kicked the bucket. B Boy begged again, and won again! Suzie Toot was saved!

(and then Grim and B Boy rekindled their romance and made out for a bit)

Aaaaand then Horace died again. Literally Grim still hadn’t even left the house. Tried begging again, but alas, this time Horace was gone.

ANNNND then Suzie Toot died again. Begging failed. Suzie Toot was gone. Grim had a busy day!

Grim stuck around for dinner.

Kitt and Rosie are both elderly now. I felt like Kitt reached senior status really fast?? Like he was old at the same time as his parents and Rosie wasn’t. Last thing that happened when I shut the game down was Kitt died of old age (only a few days (game time) after Horace and Suzie). Begging didn’t work at all this time.

I was reluctant to let them go but I was also tired of having a full house. I had a completely full house with 8 characters there for a bit.

Rosie is still around and working part time as a baby sitter.

Daisy fell in love with the boy next door, Hank. They got married (although he did not move in, because I needed the last space in the household for the baby), and had a baby boy named… Jed Clampett. We have finally gotten to Jed!

Daisy is a successful chef after going to college for Culinary Arts (although the semester while she was pregnant and had Jed, she missed one class cuz she was at the hospital and got a D in that class?! Unfair!)

Jed is now a teenager who I actually maxed out every single child aspiration on (that was a new challenge for me!). His current teen aspiration is fishing master or whatever it’s called, which is easy because they have a fishing spot in their backyard.

Do I send Jed to college or nah? I guess we’ll see what happens. Next I’ll make a new next door neighbor for him to fall in love with, so they can have Jethro and Ellie Mae. (Yes, I know Granny isn’t Jed’s mom, and Jed isn’t Jethro’s dad, but I’m simplifying the family here just for gameplay sake.)

I think once I have the Hillbilly moved into their Beverly Hills mansion, either Ellie or Jethro will have a daughter named Samantha who is a spellcaster…

5/23/25:
It has finally happened — the Hillbillies have moved to Calyforna. (Or Del Sol Valley in our Sims world)

Here’s the Clampett family … and B Boy.

Granny’s a spellcaster, and while experimenting she made an Immortal Potion. B Boy took it so now she’s just basically a God living with the Beverly Hillbillies LOL.

I really kinda want to rename B Boy. It just doesn’t suit her anymore. Gotta think about that. She was maxed out of the Entertainer/Comedian career, and completed a Musician aspiration, so I switched her to a mixologist aspiration. One of the goals was to become a master mixologist or whatever in the Mixology/Culinary career path. Well she’s already been a Star Chef, which is the other side of the Culinary branch, so I had her rejoin the Culniary career but it put her right back as a Head Chef, which is after the branch. So I tried a cheat to demote her down one level and… she got fired. UGH! Apparently no way to back back down the career ladder to the branch without downloading special cheat things and I’m not doing that right now. So now her aspiration is the painter one.

Daisy is now old, and I renamed her Granny. Horace, her husband who doesn’t live with them, is still young but comes around to uh… get Granny’s social meter up every once in a while. Like I said, she’s a spellcaster so she’s constantly down in the basement mixing up potions.

Jed is now a full adult and he’s topped out of the conservationist job. I’d like to give him a new job but I dunno what, I already did Gardening with Jed’s dad. I really wanna get a new expansion with more jobs, gonna have to research what to add that would give them some more fun things to do.

And in sad news… Grizzly Cup has officially passed.

As soon as Jethro was a child and Ellie was a toddler, I decided it was time to make… THE BIG MOVE.

I was all ready to build this damn mansion. Even though I hate building. But just out of curiosity I went and looked in the gallery to see if someone already built it and… HOLY COW THEY DID AND IT’S GORGEOUS!!

I had to fix a few things and replace a few things because they used some packs I don’t have, but… WOW!

So when we did the big move, I left Molly behind at the old house. I didn’t want to make them all sad by killing her. So, within my hillbilly storyline… Jed abandoned his wife back at the “shack” and moved to Beverly Hills without her LOL

But hey she comes to visit sometimes. And because I still have her over there, all of my old house inventory is preserved, so I can go visit her and go through my inventory for all of Grizzly Cup’s old potions and fish and stuff.

So anyway, Jethro went through his child and teen years without doing any homework (yet still graduating with a B?) and as a teen, romancing every girl in his class he could invite over. He had 4 girlfriends!

Yesterday he aged up to an adult. I decided it’s time for him to get serious about his future. He’s in college… where he is going to never do homework or projects or term papers LOL.

Ellie May is now a teenager. She has never done a lick of homework yet somehow is still also a B student. She has 2 pets – Duke, an old hound dog, and Ditzy, a grey cat. Her aspiration was the Animal one, and she completed it… thanks to me adding in pets from the gallery so she could befriend them, and then I’d just remove them from the family LOL

In the latest development just last night, a new neighbor appeared and quickly started trying to romance Jethro and ended up moving in — that’s right it’s Ms Hathaway!

This was as close as I could get to Ms Hathaway LOL She’s never going to be able to nail Jethro down, but she’s gonna try.

I was really worried about moving to this new big house because the old one worked so great. It was compact and I didn’t have to move the camera around a lot. But so far I haven’t lost interest since moving to the bigger house, so that’s good. It helps that I don’t have free will on, so nobody gets “lost” doing something crazy. I did have to lock the doors to the little shack they have out back of the mansion, because Granny kept trying to go out there to cook LOL

6/9/25:
Another update! Wow, we are still going.

This is the only pic I have for this update, haven’t taken many screencaps lately.

B Boy is now a food critic. She continues her “situation-ship” with Grim. Everytime he shows up they flirt a bit and make out but anytime B Boy tries to take things further now, Grim disappears. Literally ghosting her LOL

Speaking of Grim, both pets have passed on. They had to to expand the family!

Granny has passed on as well. I did de-age her twice but I couldn’t keep doing it if I wanted to advance the storyline. She died of old age when it was only her and B Boy at home – I had B Boy plead for her life, and it worked! Granny was brought back to life. But then she died again like 2 seconds later. Grim hadn’t even left.

Jed is now an elder. He’s a conservationist but he’s about to retire. Oh! And his wife Molly – who we left back at the hillbilly “shack” when they moved to the mansion – died. Like literally the same day as Granny, so everybody was really sad. I have no idea what happened to her – I just got a notification asking what I wanted to do with her inventory!

Jethro went to college, tried to plagiarize his term paper and got expelled. He reapplied and this time he’s made it almost through with Bs and Cs. He failed one class in his last semester and is having to retake it (only because I forgot to make him submit his term paper in time. But I figure that’s a very Jethro thing to do.)

Ellie also went to college, works as a marine biologist and owns a vet clinic.

Ms Hathaway is in the “business” business. She and Jethro’s flirting turned into a daughter named Endora. They aren’t married, it is just another situation-ship. They will probably break up here as soon as Jethro is done with college and has time to go flirt with other ladies at the gym again.

Endora is a witch. She’s currently a very mischievous teenager. As soon as she ages up, I’ll add Maurice to the household. And then obviously they will have a witch daughter named Samantha, who will marry a guy named Darren, and they will have a daughter named Tabitha… but where do I go after Tabitha? Is Tabitha the mother of an ill-fated sailor named Gilligan? Or maybe mom to a man named Brady? Stay tuned to find out.

6/26/25:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but…

The Hillbillies have all passed on.

Granny went first of course. Then Jed, then Jethro, and finally Ellie.

B Boy was fine with it because it meant she got a lot of time with her boyfriend Grim.

B Boy has been back to college (Biology), had several jobs, she recently quit Space Ranger career, and is now in the criminal career. Something she hasn’t done yet.

Endora has grown up, mastered all of her magic, fell in love with this random guy named Maurice who just showed up in their house one day and they married and had a baby girl named Samantha.

Maurice was also a spellcaster so they would practice their magic together. Maurice was a policeman by day, and Endora got a job as a Style Influencer because I mean… cmon she’s that girl.

Samantha grew up very creative, she’s a great artist and a talented witch. She went to college for art, and got a high paying gig as a Painter straight out of college. And wouldn’t you know it some random dude named Darren showed up in their house one day and they fell in love. Darren’s a businessman and currently President of his company! He’s also very paranoid and started an “Anti-Magic Club.”

His Club requires members to not be any kind of magical or supernatural sim, to be Paranoid, and to love dancing. They dance for hours at every get together. They also clean, because why not have his club members clean the house while they are over LOL

Darren and Samantha of course had a baby girl named Tabitha. Tabitha was also very talented creatively and has masted all instruments now as a teenager. She graduated high school early and is currently in college for Music.

Sadly, both Endora and Maurice have passed of old age as well.

So the household is pretty small right now, just Darren, Samantha, Tabitha and B Boy.

So I was gonna do Brady Bunch next, but I realized… they won’t all fit. Unless I get rid of B Boy which isn’t happening. So I could do Brady Bunch and just… leave one of the kids off? My plan was to create Carol and the girls as a separate household and move them in nearby, while Mike will be the offspring of Tabitha and whatever rando she meets in college that looks like he could be Mike Brady’s dad. Then when Mike and Carol meet and I move them I could just… leave Cindy behind LOL Or vice versa, Tabitha can be Carol’s mom and we’ll leave Bobby behind.

I think that’s what I’ll do, because I think that would be fun to create. From there… Partridge Family? Full House? Dick Van Dyke show? I Love Lucy? The Nanny? Who knows.

8/14/25:

OH MY GOD It’s still going on.

BUT… I did have to take a long break for dragoncon. Just got too busy for simming.

So let’s see what all has happened in the last 2 months of the Sims?

Tabitha grew up. She went to school for… something. Music? I think. Yeah I think she became a musician once out of college. She went to the gym one day and met a guy with a hipster beard named Darrin. She used one of her love potions and they were married the same day.

I did have to rename Darrin though. I had Darren (Tabitha’s dad) and Darrin (Tabitha’s husband) and it was too confusing, so Darrin became Darmit Brady.

Darren (who, of course, hates that his wife and child are witches), formed an Anti-Magic Club. Members are required to dress like a pirate and dance.

Darren and Samantha both died of old age. Here’s Grim arriving for Samantha, who had passed out behind the couch.

Darmit and Tabitha had a baby boy named Mike Brady. He grew up to be an artist I think? (Closest I could get to architect?)

I needed to move Tabitha along out of the house once she got old so we could create our Brady Bunch. She sadly got attacked by killer rabbits out by the cee-ment pond. B Boy as usual was glad to see Grim.

Also at one point, B Boy caught on fire while cooking breakfast and then no matter how many times I made her shower, she stayed burned until I restarted the game. Didn’t stop the Grim-snogging though.

So how did I make the Brady Bunch work with B Boy in the house and only having 8 slots? Well, B Boy, being that she is an undead celestial being, decided to walk among the mortals and play at being mom – she became Carol Brady. Even got a new hair cut for the occasion.

So once Mike was an adult, he went out in search of love. He met a townie named… something, I don’t remember, it started with an I, so let’s call her Izzy. Used one of his mom’s love potions and so of course they hit it off right away. They agreed to have a science baby, and a few minutes later, Mike came home with a little boy named Greg.

Meanwhile, Carol/B Boy had met a townie as well – I don’t remember his name at all. They also had a science baby, and B Boy came home with a little girl named Marsha.

And so on and so forth until we had the whole Brady Bunch. Mike and B Boy went through a lot of Nannies to keep up with the babies and toddlers.

OH and not long after Greg was born, Mike got a call from his baby mom Izzy, who told Mike she’d just given birth to a beautiful baby boy???? And I looked in Mike’s family tree and sure enough, he had a son with Izzy in addition to his science baby Greg. EL SCANDALO!!!!!! All this time Mike Brady had a secret baby and family on the side!

Anyway here’s the whole family.

Honestly kinda regretting it because it has been really annoying/boring to have 6 kids in the house. First babies and then toddlers and then kids/teens keeping up with homework. On the weekends they all worked on various skills.

Greg and Marsha went to college and oops… they fell in love. Gross LMAO

Both graduated with straight As. Greg is now a cop and Marsha is a politician. Marsha is currently expecting.

Jan and Peter are in college and nearly done. Cindy and Bobby are also in college now. Trying to keep up with 4 people in college and getting them out the door in time for class, homework done, and presentations given has been a NIGHTMARE. I get them up at 7 and just make them go sit on the bench in front of the house because otherwise it takes them nearly an hour to walk from inside the house to leave and they wind up being late for class.

I think I’m gonna do Fantastic Four next. Greg and Marsha can be the parents of Sue and Johnny. Or grandparents, I think I may want to do another generation in there to pull in the “Storm” surname.

9/25/25:

Like I said before, I had to take a break from playing when Dragon Con prep work got to be a bit much, so not a LOT has happened in the last month and a half, but I have been playing again, and I got the Life & Death expansion.

It was time for the next generation to start up – I am doing the Fantastic Four – but to make way for a kid, some of the Brady Bunch had to… go. Mike went first. I can’t remember how now, it was too long ago LOL.

Peter Brady overexerted himself in the pool. While his nephew, Franklin Storm, watched on.

Bobby Brady used the telescope too much and got hit with a meteor. Greg is so far the only Brady kid to die of old age, he just went last night.

Marcia is a politician and she got the warning last night that her long life is also coming to an end. Jan is still around, she’s a world famous video game streamer. Cindy moved out. I let Chase decide what would happen to Cindy and he said just let her move on and live her life happily somewhere LOL

So B Boy is now a Mortician. Her and Grim’s relationship is still strong as ever. Was really hoping the Life & Death expansion would give them more time together. I wanted them to have a kid, but everytime somebody kicks it (and they got chickens, so Grim has been around a lot…) he disappears as soon as B Boy brings up the idea of trying. Commitment issues. Next time I’m adding him to the family just long enough so we can take the relationship to the next level.

Franklin Storm, the son of Greg and Marcia Brady (gross lol) is a super smart kid who graduated high school early, breezed through college and is now a scientist. Recently Mary Storm, his fiancee, just magically appeared in the house and they got married and had 2 kids immediately. Johnny first, then Susan.

We also hired a butler because I was tired of the maid and nanny not doing anything. The Butler has been taking care of the kids mostly, while Franklin was finishing college and now focused on his scientist career. Mary hasn’t had time to do anything with herself since having the kids back to back, but I think I’m going to send her to school now that she’s done.

Just waiting on Marcia and Jan to go and B Boy and the Fantastic Four will be next up. I had an idea for the next family last night but now I can’t remember. Scooby Doo was an idea from a while back. We’ll see.

11/5/25:
The fantastic four are here! And gone already LOL

I gave B Boy a new look. I figure if you’re an ancient immortal you’d change it up occasionally, right? After becoming a global superstar in the acting career, she got offered an astronaut position, became a space smuggler, so I gave her some cool space smuggler clothes.

All of the Bradys are gone. Sue and Johnny Storm grew up to be good kids. Sue is a politician and Johnny is an athlete.

The game gave Sue this pajama outfit and i just left it.

Added Reed (and Ben) to the game. This was the makeup the game automatically gave Reed when he aged up. Fancy (Did not leave it).

Apparently I never took a pic of Ben. I made him orange and huge with a big beard. He worked in the military, and Reed was an astronaut.

Reed and Sue had baby Franklin. Unfortunately, Sue died of HYSTERIA out of nowhere while Franklin was a kid.

Didn’t plan that, but we’ll take it.

Franklin grew up and married a boring lady who worked as a barista whose name I can’t even remember. She tragically died while looking through the telescope too much not long after they had a kid.

Johnny Storm died of old age in the street after coming home from work one day. Ben Grimm died of old age in his sleep. Reed Richards STAYED WAY TOO LONG. I swear I got the “Reed’s long life is coming to an end…” warning like THREE TIMES before he finally kicked the bucket.

I think this was him dying? I can’t remember, they all run together.

Franklin and Barista’s baby is Lilith Richards. She was a straight-laced tightwad of a kid/teen, graduated way early, was halfway through college (straight A+) when she aged up. She met a quiet teacher named Asher Sorrengail and they got married.Lilith is now in the military and they’ve had 2 kids – Brennan and Mira. Lilith is currently pregnant with #3, who will be Violet (Fourth Wing family!)

Also I got the horse expansion because why not. The horses will be stand-ins for dragons. We’ve got one horse originally named Gandalf and he was B Boy’s, but now I renamed it Tairn and made it black, so he’s ready for Violet to show up. Also there’s only going to be one dragon. I ain’t got house space for everybody to have a dragon. And Violet only gets Tairn, sorry Andarna.

Anyway Franklin is old I’m just waiting on him to go, and as soon as Violet is born, Asher is probably going to have a terrible accident with the telescope just like his mother-in-law. My house is too full right now, gotta get rid of some of these extra folks.

I know I mentioned Scooby Doo, but I might do Buffy next (i mean, looking at my generic Sims header, it’s a Buffy family from Sims 2. It’s Spike trying to extinguish a fire around Buffy and Willow freaking out LOL)

11/17/25:
Updating a little earlier than expected but had something funny happen so gonna go ahead with a recap.

Asher did indeed have an accident with the telescope. That thing is dangerous!

So the funny thing… Lilith got home from work one day, and died right out on the street before she could even make it inside.

B Boy and Xaden got home from work at the same time (B Boy has had had a gazillion careers now. Everytime somebody calls her with a new job opportunity, she takes it. Xaden is a Grim Reaper too.) Grim showed up – as did a papparazzo and a random woman.

And the random woman just starts vomiting??! Like excuse you we are going through something as a family right now!

Grim and B Boy decided right then and there it was time to tie the knot finally.

The papparazzo didn’t even bother to get a picture. He was so unimpressed with everything!

I did end up making Andarna – I decided to move Brennan and Mira out of the house for college, so that gave me room.

Anyway here’s the current family:

Xaden, Violet and their son Liam along with Tairn and Andarna (and B Boy, of course). Andarna isn’t little anymore but oh well.

I’ve de-aged Tairn 3 times now.

Xaden freaking out over baby Liam. If I was a boy, I decided Liam, and if it was going to be a girl… I wasn’t sure. So I’m glad it was a boy.

Also I just downloaded somebody’s Xaden, I figured somebody else could make a better Xaden sim than me and I was right LOL. Like I said earlier, he’s a Grim Reaper, and that’s a new job track for me so I’ve been having fun actually going to the office with him and doing the work day. Violet is a writer. I figured I’d give her the job she originally wanted LOL She’s currently at the top of that job. Liam is in elementary school.

I think I’m going to do Star Wars next. It’s just got a good solid 4 generations worth of sims to go through (Shmi can be Liam’s child. Then Anakin/add Padme and Obi-Wan, then Luke & Leia/add Han and Lando and Chewie, then Ben/add Rey, Finn and Poe. After that maybe Buffy?)

Oh! I nearly forgot. I deleted the fishing pond I set up for the hillbillies and turned it into a graveyard, because I have so many headstones at this point. I got them all organized… but then I was irritated because half of this legacy family is at the old house. So I sent B Boy over there to see if she could retrieve them, and a new family was living there! So she couldn’t by just visiting. So I switched to that new family, invited B Boy over, and then added her to their family with the right click menu. I put all of the headstones in her inventory, saved, and removed her from the family. Went back to the mansion… and realized d’oh, B Boy is not in ANY family now!! I freaked out thinking I’d lost her. I had Liam call her and thankfully there she was, she showed up and I added her back to the family, got the new/old headstones added. But it was a freak out moment for sure!
