Movie Rogue came! And Slave Leia updates

My Chinese Sweatshop Rogue costume arrived yesterday (after days of fighting with the post office).
It’s kinda nice to just have a costume magically appear on your doorstep, LOL.

It’s pretty nice for what it is, and for what I paid. The only problem was that it was too big. It fit kinda ok through the chest and shoulders and sleeves (a tad big), but from the chest down, it was a full 2-3 inches too big. I spent about two hours on it yesterday taking it up, getting the legs, waist and hips to fit right, so it didn’t look like I was wearing a large trashbag.

But it look pretty decent once I was done, it’ll be fun (and hot) to wear for a couple of hours with the rest of the X-gang. I think we are going to take some pics of it (and Chase’s casual Wolverine costume) today – my wig is not done so I will be stripe-less, but oh well.

Also – new fabric for new slave Leia skirts FINALLY came yesterday. It was worth the wait. It’s gorgeous, it’s exactly what I wanted, exactly the right weight and colour. I’ve wanted to replace the skirts I had on there since I MADE them – the stuff I used originally was just too stiff, and poofed out funny. I put them together yesterday afternoon, too – they’re finished except for putting the snaps in. I was out, picking more up today. Now if my new boots will come so I can get the boot tops on, I’ll be ready to roll – that’s another thing I’ve always wanted to replace, they were never the right shape.

I figured since I’m making these upgrades to her, I’m not going to take Animated Leia. I repacked my finished stuff the other night, took Animated Leia, classic Leia and ceremonial Leia out. I don’t need them. got pleeeeeeeeeeenty of other stuff to wear.
